Let's try and not get all paranoid. It's cold & flu season and it's not unusual for jurors (who are human, afterall) to get sick. TM wears an ankle monitor and is tracked. No one is threatening jurors.

I was nervous with only having 2 alternates. As much intimidation as they family did on MULTIPLE people over the years, I so hope no one felt 'threatened' ....

Good thing they didn't start deliberating yesterday! Jurors would have been released and it would have been a mistrial if one couldn't come in?

As for how long deliberations take?

They take as long as they take. Every jury is different. Some juries take a long time to go through everything. Don't automatically assume there's a problem if the jury doesn't reach a decision today.

No, alternates (there were 2) are picked at random.
Thanks Madeleine. I heard Culbertson say that after I asked you. I hope this alternate is the best of the two.

I highly doubt they were threatened at all. I woke up sick this morning, as well.. Per a previous comment from someone in the courtroom.. There seemed to be a lot of sickness going around. It's that time of year.

Good morning, I will continue to read what I did not catch up on yesterday. I have always wondered why they release the alternates before a verdict. What if someone gets sick during deliberations?

praying for the jury to see the TRUTH. TM looks rough today!

Her facebook warriors have threatened MANY people over the years. Online, in real life, and through jobs. I wouldn't put anything past them. They even HIRED someone at one point.

Edited to add: I know its a very slight possibility, and people are sick, but I don't think a fever would keep me from deliberations after a 3 week trial.

My laptop has a touch screen so I can zoom in. I wouldn't know how to do it otherwise, either!
I'm sure there are multiple ways to do it, but I hold down the "Ctrl" and push the "+" on my number pad once for every time I want to zoom in. Zooming out is the same, but using the "-". HTH.
I FOUND a way!!!

I hope the jurors get this right.

Heather and her loved ones deserve justice.

Can y'all imagine how incredibly obnoxious TM will be online if she's found not guilty?

Posting guidelines:

Do not:

*Accuse others, who have not been charged, of culpability, involvement and knowledge in the crime

*post sweeping negative generalizations bashing the whole family

*name call, name variations, derogatory/demeaning titles

*sleuth or post personal information about witnesses, family members, or attorneys

Do:

*use initials for witnesses as often as possible

*take discussion against TOS to the unmoderated 'conversation' area where 2o members can be invited (do not hint or post asking for an invite)

Good morning!

Friendly reminder that the prior admonitions are still in place. Please use the real name or initials for the defendant.

I hope the male juror who was excused for illness was not one of the ones observed being emotional yesterday! And hopefully the alternate he was replaced with was paying as much attention the whole time.

I’m still driving I’m at a red light so I just wanted to say the alternate was one of the cryers yesterday Also I’m doing talk to text so not sure if everything is spelled right

I wish I had been there to see but I don’t think you could go wrong with either alternate being put in

What the Elvis family needs today are *positive* thoughts, not thoughts of fear and doom and a bad outcome to this case or worries or bad feelings.

Imagine good things happening. Imagine white light and truth.

The one that was excused will definitely be talking that’s just my opinion don’t take it as fact but just from what I observed

RSBM

Me either!

On the other hand, I'd be thrilled, as an alternate, to have a chance to vote!
