Hailey Dunn General Discussion #2

Not really. LE have treated it as she was deceased a long time. The fact still remains that no one saw Hailey alive on the Monday also that Clint passed his poly. There is also the fact that things Billie has claimed about the Sunday and Monday morning just doesn't add up and there is no reasonable explanation for that.

Not the FBI apparently, because they had her listed as abducted.

I think it is fairly clear that different LE agencies have been taking different views on the investigation. In the early stages Toombs and CC had jurisdiction, so the public presentation was their view, but now a different county has jurisdiction and the FBI is playing a role in the investigation. IMO the FBI is looking at this case in a different light.

I would imagine that the FBI are looking at facts which regrettably there have been few in this case due to the amount of lies that have been told.

I have never read anything that stated that CD did not think Shawn was responsible for the death of Hailey. If you have a link showing otherwise I'd love to read it. TIA
So it's rational for "all sorts of people" to be afraid for their lives, but not CD?

There is a thread about it [ame="http://www.websleuths.com/forums/showthread.php?t=129427"]here[/ame].

There is a thread about it here.

Thank you. I went and read it and now remember reading that. If you notice the date of Feb of 2011 that was early on after she went missing. It's JMO that he's probably been enlightened by now. People talk, facts come out, and when he's all alone with time to truly think I can only imagine what he's figured out.

MOO

I imagine he would have been aware of all the relevant facts at that time. Time changes things because people like to put the blame somewhere, but at that point the searchlight was full on SA, so CD's attitude at the time is enlightening.

Or perhaps the lies are really just local gossip.

Which is why we must rely on facts, not gossip.

I have no idea why Clint had a gun on the seat of his car and I am not going to speculate.

Generally people have only one reason to have a gun in immediate reach, especially when their having it is a felony.

It is because they think they are going to need it.

Brilliant. I'm not sure, though, that Knox missed this obvious conclusion.

The "why" is the real and intended question and one that only Clint can answer.

It does kind of suggest that something else is going on in the background.

There has been a bucket load of weird stuff going on in this case. This is just one more example.

I'm telling you, IMO this case is a lot more complicated than many of you seem to believe. It is not a case of black hats/white hats. It is just grey, and I don't think there are going to be too many clean hands at the end of the day.

Oh, but maybe some 'clean' hands, à la the MacBeth effect, perchance?
"Out, damn'd spot"

The FBI flyer on their site also said Hailey was wearing pink and white tennis shoes. Billie later said those shoes were found in the home, Hailey was wearing flip-flops. The FBI never bothered to correct that detail.

Curious, how is the FBI looking at the case differently?

Clint just attended a memorial for his murdered daughter, and is said to be very despondent since she was found. You connect the dots ...

He was simply in denial at the time and for some reason seems scared of Billie and had already been threatened by Shawn before and the truth is Shawn had threatened many people so Clint was right to be careful with what he said.

When i first heard about the gun I did wonder if he had intentions to kill himself. He seemed in a pretty bad place even before being arrested.

It doesn't Matter who is dealing with the case as the facts remain the Same. There is one person who has lied from the very beginning.

That is simply your opinion ;) Clint seems the sort to avoid confrontation and to simply give in to what others want of him for a peaceful life. SA has threatened a lot of people including Clint so its not unnatural to think he could be worried of SA .

Most kidnappers/murderers don't dump a body out in the middle of nowhere, esp somewhere that is off the beaten path. They usually dump wherever. Finding the remains close to "home" tells me that it was a local.

IMHO her remains were not dumped off the beaten path. If you look at the map link I have posted below you will see that all SA had to do was take BD to work on TUESDAY morning and then just go off of the main Hwy 350 and leave the remains there on his way to BS and his MOM's. Do I have proof? No! But it is certainly a possibility and not far from his beaten path IMHO. I guess that is what you are saying too ahintexas? When you look at the map, it sure hits home it was probably someone familiar with the area.
