Hailey Dunn Update at 7 months, 7/27/11

IF you watch the video, the reporter says this is new picture, a just released picture. IT has not been around for months. A friend of the family states in the news clip that this picture was taken only a few days before she disappeared...and again says it's a newly found picture.

I don't care what the reporter said. It definitely would not be the first time the press got something wrong in this case.
I've seen that picture every single day since May 8th when HDUD started using it as the profile picture for their Facebook page.
It's been around for more than two months at the very least.

I hadn't seen the photo before, but I don't go on HDUD. Interesting that the news story last night claimed this was a new photo that was just released. Sounds like these reporters need to investigate a bit more (as does Patricia T).

On the other hand, I am glad that Hailey's name and another photo of her was televised last night! Maybe the bad reporting actually worked in her favor for a change...

A new photo taken 1 week before Hailey disappeared has been discovered. She looks considerably older than the well-circulated cheerleader photo, imo, because her hair is styled and she appears to be wearing some make up. The local news station covered the story last night and showed the picture. They also interviewed Patricia T (the would-be grandma, Clint's girlfriend's mom). She says she's mad because they should have been using newer pictures on the flyers and now they've "wasted 7 months".

Imo, Hailey looks more mature in the new photo, but she is still quite recognizable as the same person in the cheerleading photo. Also, we've seen pictures of Hailey sitting on the couch with Billie and Shawn a day or two before she went missing, and she is not wearing make-up and looks more like the cheerleading photo. So, I don't know if it makes much difference since we don't know if Hailey was styled or not when she disappeared.

P.s. I think using the cheerleading photo in the missing campaign made the story more marketable and may have helped Hailey get national exposure. Nancy Grace covered the story for almost a month straight with that photo and the intro line: "13 year old cheerleader missing from Colorado City"...

I agree, but it did get her name out there again...which is a good thing. People need to realize that if she left on her own (with older girl/boy, etc) she may indeed be wearing more make-up to appear older....especially if she was taken to "work the streets"...her appearance would be changed drastically. I stopped in a convenience store late at night a few weeks ago...and my jaw hit the floor at the appearance of a young girl there. Obvious to all, and usually not in this area; big heels, fishnet under shorts with half the rear end exposed. Everyone was looking at each other's reaction...trying not to focus on her. If HD's alive and in a city....she will not look anything like ANY of her pics...nor will she walk like a little tomboy. Even in a smaller town, she'd stick out like a sore thumb.

Just found this article about this 20 yr that was beat to death by her psychologist father! When I first saw her pic, I thought she looked a little like HD, and was surprised she was 20 years old. He has never said why.

Weird story hollyblue; what a tragedy. Beaten in her sleep by her own dad; a psychologist no less. Crazy chiite; poor girl. She does have the same fresh-faced style as Hailey in many of Hailey's pictures. In the photo at the link above, the 20 year old victim could easily pass for 15 or 16, imo.

I think your point about having several pictures of Hailey released is a good one. If she is alive, she could be out there looking like her 13 years or she could be wearing more make up and mature clothing and appear much older. I just wish Patricia T would have made that point in the interview. Like "hey, study the face in both photos and be on the lookout for Hailey; she could appear to be anywhere from 13 to 17 years old", for example. Instead, she basically advised viewers to discount the younger-looking images, saying they are a "waste". I don't get that woman though; imo she always wants to cause a drama...

If she is out there she will allmost certainly be looking older, not younger. Also, if she is being sheltered by someone it is very likely that she would have altered her appearance, such as changing hair style/color and style of dress.

If people are looking for what she used to look like, I doubt they would find her.

Sadly, I don't think anyone will find her anyway, unless someone confesses and tells where she is.

IMO-that is not a 'new' photo of Hailey- it has been around for months, unless I have gone crazy, I know I have seen it numerous times..

You're NOT crazy. Unless I am, too. I've seen the pic, too. When I first saw the hype about a new pic surfacing I let myself get way to ahead of myself, then saw the pic. I literally had both hand in my hair ready to rip it out by the handful, yelling to my husband how this was not new, but darned if I could remember where it popped up and the only reason I can think of I didn't have that picture to use for a flier I made for Hailey was I couldn't get permission to circulate it. As in when I saw the photo I couldn't save it.....otherwise I would have used it not giving a second thought. I have a couple of photos I have permission from the search center to use, I had to edit them, but one of them shows up unedited if you google images of Hailey.
The way I see it, and I stopped when I noticed someone else say they've seen this pic as well so I'm sure I'm repeating the general consensus on this whole 'new' thing, whatever keeps Hailey in the news. <3

oops! just saw on previous page Clint is in jail. So it appears the two lovebirds reunited in another city. This case is frustrating.

Truth...yeah I don't really give them a lot of credit, but geeze, I really hate feeling that way about LE there...I keep praying some of them still wear a white hat....and whatever is hinky in that area gets found out.

The thing about the picture that got me in a "wtf' moment was that it is reported to have been taken a week before Hailey went missing but the pictures taken 2 days before Hailey went missing were released , so how do those pictures not show what Hailey looks like and these new pictures do reflect that?

It is a shame that I have to question when the newly released photos were taken and have to guess at what was stated about them is true or not.

I am also glad people have said they have saw the pictures before because that can put an end to me thinking these pictures were taken later then dec 27th.

Can anyone do a side by side with the new photo and the christmas photos?

Soul magnet, a side by side would be great. I have a pic of Hailey that I used on a flier that I think looks similar to this 'new' one. I wanna do a side by side with that photo and with one of the more common photos. The pic I have where Hailey looks a little older to me her hair is done, it isn't straight. This 'new' pic looks IMHO like maybe she took it herself. Look at her arms. Otherwise I would tend to lean toward that pic supporting the theory that Hailey had suddenly filled out a bit before disappearing. I will see if I can figure out how to do a side by side on my iPad, I don't have a pc or a full Mac.
