It must mean Old Lynchburg Road, as we know from the reports and photos yesterday searchers were combing the sides of Old Lynchburg Road. Don't know how or where they got Humana Road from, maybe someone needs some sleep and got human remains and road confused? :thinking:

At this link you will see pictures that show police tape around the (front/side) property in question.

The second photo also clearly shows the "creek" bed behind the house in front of the tree line. It's much closer to the house than some have previously thought. Thanks for the photos.

If that is tape, the it appears the body site is probably behind the smaller building rather than the main house.

I absolutely agree...you can see the tape line along the woods behind the main house and then it disappears, probably going into the woods behind the cottage. My initial hunch on Saturday was maybe right! Granted, I have like 100 hunches, so one of them is bound to have some merit. LOL

Kinda tangential, but wondering...What is weird about MH case is that according to her mother most of her bones were shattered or crushed. From what I just read is that trauma to the body or crushing can impact rate of decomposition. LE will not reveal these kind of deets if remains are HG, but makes me wonder if this was done with some weird intent, to MH and if it is the same perp, why to only one girl?

A lot of the info about MH has come from her parents who were given the autopsy report, not from LE, and we can 't tell what is fact and what is 'likely" , what is opinion in that case. Whether MH was beaten by her assailant or the damages, whatever they may be, came about in other ways, we really don't know for sure. Until the case goes to court, we won't know because even a coroner's official report can be brought into question.

All we have seen so far (or some of us at least) is JM walking on opposite side of mall then walking along side HG Why would LE ask for video footage of HG and JM together after 1:40 am if they had that proof in the first place? I find it inconceivable that nothing would have appeared on Youtube. Equally as strange there are no witness accounts of anyone seeing them together after the mall footage. It is almost like they both vanished after that.

The charges stem from probable cause and from what I have read it is an easy standard to meet. Proving defilement is much higher burden of proof. Just because he maybe bought her drinks or had his arm around her does not show that with premeditation he abducted and defiled her. Her condition based on video or witness interpretation is not damning enough IMO even Longo had different interpretations quoted in the press.

I keep reading there is video footage of them leaving Tempo. Where is that? Also owner of Tempo issued statement that HG was not in that bar. Who does a jury believe?

Soon I hope. Her dad seems to be holding up a bit better. Her poor mom looked absolutely shattered in that PC, although she did look a little better in the Coply (spelling?) Bridge pics. I just can't imagine how you get up and breathe day after day.

There have been times in my life when I've been grieving and there's that moment when you first wake up, before you remember. I hated that. I hated being ambushed every morning all over again with the memory. And I've never experienced anything like these parents.

This has been a huge trend in small business startups lately (the healthcare field in general, assisted living and nursing in particular). It is perfectly within the realm of possibility that whoever was living at this property before it became vacant was operating a similar business from their home. .............

It is quite possible the owner utilized the property as an 'assisted living facility', to care for an aging relative.... I can't recall who, but someone mentioned there were a number of such in the general area. There might be some tax,capital gain/loss, inheritance reasons for someone to form such, from a financial standpoint....possibly specific to Virginia, perhaps. Any VA CPA's out there? I am betting there is reason.

IMHO I don't think the fact of what the house was used for has any direct correlation to JM and his taxi/healthfield jobs. The fact that he was familiar with the Old Lynchburg Rd area, having lived on Ponderosa, and in doing a little researching else where, shows possible connections to persons in the area the remains were found.

That certainly seems to be what might have happened in this case. The neighbor saw a large number of buzzards behind the house where the remains were found on October 5th, yet when he returned the next day he no longer observed any buzzards and then called the tip in to LE.

Not to be a picky "corrector" but I read that the tipster said there were still a "large number of vultures" present that next day but the person felt uncomfortable nosing around a piece of private (although vacant) property.

1. LE has never said they have no footage.

2. LE has never said there are no witnesses.

3. In the evidence room far from the prying eyes of the public if it exists at all.

We don't know what LE has. Somehow, they got a search warrent for JM's car. You don't just get a warrent without good reason. THey did not feel they could charge JM, but they could get the warrent. I wish we know what warrented the warrent.
