Has Any Ramsey Defender Ever Given an Explanation for the Pineapple?

SD: You think Patsy walked in on them? PLEASE PLEASE ANSWER THIS.

Solace, I can't deny you anything. I have my moments when I do consider it. But if you read "My Theory," perhaps all shall become clear.

I, like angelwings, had also wondered if JB had worn the red turtleneck, under the white Gap shirt, to the White's party. But, after reading what Steve Thomas said, I realized that she didn't.

I have done that myself. If we were leaving really early in the morning for a trip, I have let both of my girls sleep in what they would be wearing on the trip...well, at least the shirt, and then a pair of PJ bottoms or something, just to save time.

Just give yourself a little more time on this board, you will be an "expert" too. You are on your way already....

Another reason to dress her in the red turtleneck..Patsy wins.

PR had her own ideas about how everything should be done down to the letter. After the earlier argument over the red turtleneck, she could have been making a point...I win... You lose. Then a push shove jerk and pull argument begins.

Absolutely!

I think every parent can relate to that...

you give in to a child just so you can get out the door for something or other...

then something happens later & you resume the argument & finally you've had enough of the disobedience & backtalk....

You take a stand & won't back down.

Wasn't it the turtleneck that Patsy claimed had the stain in it? The shirt she was fussing with that morning right before she levitated over the RN? lol

Hey! Why would the shirt have a stain IF JB refused to wear it to the party anyway? Surely, she wasn't going to wear dirty clothes to the Whites?

Thanks. :) I might be on my way..... not sure WHERE though? ha

No, that was a red jumpsuit that JB had worn in a Christmas pageant.

Yep, I think that too! That's probably why she chose that particular shirt, instead of a different one...and easier to put on.

At last a theory I can completely wrap my head around! Thank you, Ames!

The hole in JBR's skull has been described as "triangular" in nature. The corner of a bathroom countertop or a bathroom faucet, (which I have often thought might have caused the injury), could have produced this type of injury to the skull. The turtleneck theory makes total sense. Now, where are those pictures of the White's dinner party??? Why can't we see them?

Page 7 of the autopsy report describes the hole in the skull as "roughly rectangular". This does change the possibilities. One of the forensic specialists who studied the case, it was either Wecht or Baden, tested the kind of hole that would be made by the flashlight and it was a perfect fit, when used as a club: the edge of the larger part containing the light when brought down hard hits with the edge, and not flat on. It made a rectangular hole very similar to that in JBR's skull.

Ok, thanks.

I figured that would have been WAY TOO obvious.... even for a Ramsey. lol

I believe that same kind of hole could be made, if she was thrown into the rounded edge of the tub.

That was Dr. Spitz, I believe. And what about hitting a dresser at high speed? Anyone ever test that?

That's a good question....

I always was curious if anyone tested whether that flashlight dropped from the top of the steps would have fractured a skull in the same manner as JB's injury.

Maybe MythBusters would be interested.... obviously, nobody in Boulder cares about solving this case.

IMO it looks like to much damage to be caused just by dropping..on spiral stairs it would have just rolled down anyway.

What I wonder is,is it possible JB was struck with one of the AG dolls, maybe even the MyTwinn she didn't like? Patsy says PP retrieved it for her,and it's odd she would take the time to point that out in DOI.
If she was, then perhaps the hair on the doll cushioned the blow,so that it didn't break the skin? not to say the doll itself wouldn't have broke, but that would be good reason to order a replacement.
my daughter had an AG doll, and their heads are very thick and well-built,not at all like the everyday porcelain dolls that dept. stores carry.

"Histologically, the fetal calf skull is more
like a four-year old child than a neonatal child"

Anyone live close to a farm where a calf might be still-born, a taxidermy for a young deer or a veal meat packing plant?

....Got a mag-lite flashlight?

SD, if you were willing to test a stungun, this 'myth buster' would be a lot less painful...

We have a mag-lite, I'm thinking of where I can get a skull...

How long was the flashlight? Any records?

I remember JR saying 'his' he thought was smaller than the one in the picture that they showed him, but I don't remember seeing the exact size of the flashlight...

(You all realize that hubby is going to freak out and call the men in white coats to take me away if he comes home and sees me hitting a deer head w/ his mag-lite!)

My hubby thinks that I am nuts for trying to "solve" a 12 year old case, so I will probably be joining you with the men in white coats.

I got one for you, I took our maglight off the shelf. Those things are heavy. I went to swing it at a pumpkin.... Dropped the maglight and broke a toe and lost the big toenail.

Pumpkin $3.00
Doctor Bills $200.00
explanation to Darling Husband..... Priceless

CK, I am very sorry for laughing...but....:laugh:that is funny. Not that you broke your toe, and lost your toenail...I am sorry for that. BUT...the way you told your story was .....priceless. I don't even know what you look like, but I can just imagine you taking down that maglight (I almost typed magpie for some reason)...to swing it at a pumpkin. Were you going to see if if left a triangular hole?? You get an A + for effort.

(This may label me a Nutcase for Life.)

Interesting find & thanks.

BUT as we see it's not relevant to a 6 year old child's skull & they're using pins NOT flashlights dropped from the top of a staircase onto the head of an unsuspecting sibling.

I'm no scientist or mathematician but I guess you'd have to calculate the weight of the flashlight (with batteries), the height of BOTH their staircases from the top to the bottom & see if the velocity of it falling straight down could crack a 6 year old's skull.

Also interesting is that the skin on the skull was NOT broken.... so does that tell us anything about the angle of the hit... the object used? When are you more likely to see the skin break????
