Has Any Ramsey Defender Ever Given an Explanation for the Pineapple?

This kidnapper would not be interested in the ransom.

This kidnapper may not have been aware of your 'rule' that kidnappers aren't allowed to molest their victims before dressing them in long johns, feeding them pineapple, and stuffing them into a car for a ride over the rocky mountains in winter.

You miss my point, if you're going to do that you take your victim out of the house before molesting them and you don't kill them in their homes either. That's not how kidnappers or molesters work. The Ramseys tried too hard to throw too much into one scenario.

What a team 'holdontoyourhat' and Wudge would make - what's that term Rumsfeld used - 'the mother of all coalitions'.....
ya know - I'm in kinda silly mood tonight for some reason maybe I better stop posting before I gets in trouble...

More rules:

Rule no. 1: Kidnappers aren't allowed to molest their victims.
Rule no. 2: Kidnappers aren't allowed to kill their victims if they decide they dont want to kidnap them.

Am I supposed to agree with these? Should I call them 'rules that govern kidnappers'?

BTW, allow me to clarify and say that I don't believe there was ever a kidnapping for ransom. That could be causing you some confusion because you seem to believe that because the RN claims the motive was money, JBR would not be molested or killed in her own home. I for one don't believe the RN.

I'm just an IDI theorizer, and I can tell you what I believe the pineapple was all about.

It was about keeping JBR hydrated.

If (emphasis here is on the 'if') JBR was to be kidnapped and removed from the US, there would be problems facing her captors. There is evidence of captors coping with these problems all over the crime scene. JBR was redressed in long johns, suitable for transporting her in cold weather, correct? There was duct tape and wrist cord in place, suitable for moving her unwillingly from the house to a car, correct?

And there was pineapple. Some to be fed to JBR. and some already fed to JBR. The alternative, I suppose, would be to drive thru McDonalds for a Happy Meal??

As you can see it becomes more complicated when you start to include the facts of the case, instead of the claims. IOW, just because there were only PR's and BR's prints on the bowl doesn't mean the bowl wasn't owned by an intruder.
...no,the alternative would have been stable shelf food and juice boxes/can drinks/water bottles,etc..not something sticky like pineapple, which,in the absence of refridgeration, spoils.

How long does pineapple last at room temp, and how cold was it outside on Dec 25, 1996?

..if ever there were 2 ppl who should walk hand-in- hand and sing 'We are the World....'.

I should probably be quiet,too :D

Ok, I can't resist - are you suggesting the Ramseys didn't use a heater in their home, so, it was like an ice-box?

Otherwise, I have no idea what you're getting at....and, I still can't believe you're serious & not pulling our collective legs. Or you're some kind of genius in irony and you don't even know it.

He's trying to say an intruder chose pineapple for JB (for a road trip) and it wouldn't matter if it required refrigeration,b/c it was cold in Dec.
..sure,but it's only cold *outside...

Pineapple would be good enough at room temp for 2 days, I think. The pineapple would not be overheated in a car crossing the rockie mountains in winter, I think.

Besides, the original topic of this thread was to explain the pineapple, and there you have it.

Ah..thank you JMO8778 - I have a feeling 'HOH' will remain an enigma for me for the next while, though.

Can't wait 'till Wudge hears the pineapple as hydration theory!:rolling:

Now I know why Superdave said 'oh, boy' & hasn't posted since....

nah,I think the imaginary intruder(s) had an RV w. a fridge in it ;)

and what were they going to put it in? the bowl was left on the table.

Yes, the kidnappers would want to keep her hydrated & looking healthy to get her through security to fly her out. That'd be easy to get her through security in airports & into another country - here in the usa, they could just distract them because they're foreign -they'd have to deal with them & forget about the girl. And for those of you who think they could've just got a bottle of water - it's too expensive considering it's really just tap water.

Yes, holdontoyourhat, I see your point....

:bang:

JMO8778 - they left the bowl because they had more in the RV - duh! You disappoint me.:shakehead:

Holdontoyourhat

Then what was the kidnapping for? They went to the trouble to bring Jonbenet pineapple to hydrate her, why if it wasn't to make her journey easier - if she's dead, then no cross-country, through the rockies trip?

Did they feed her pineapple because they were taking her to a tropical climate & they wanted her to adjust before she got there? Makes sense....

Holdontoyourhat,
What else are you holding on to? The bowl was owned by the intruder yet Patsy's and Burke's fingerprints were on the bowl. But they were asleep during the kidnapping, and Patsy denies ever seeing the bowl before, yet never told anyone that there was unknown strange stuff in the kitchen, despite visiting it that morning.

There was no kidnapper, particularly since JonBenet never left the house, there is no forensic evidence linking to any intruder, just evidence implicating the Ramsey's and friends in a staged crime-scene and covert coverup.

My question regarding the basis upon which prior suspects -- like Fleet White and Bill McReynolds -- were eliminated as suspects remains unanswered.

We don't really know when the bowl of pineapple appeared on the table. Obviously PR's fingerprints would be on the bowl...unloading the dishwasher (as I understand it she only had help 3 days a week). So that leaves BR...he was 9 at the time and perfectly capable of fixing his own snack....this could have happened anytime and would not be something of such significance that anyone, even BR, would necessarily remember. (Memory is weak, especially regarding details...What did you have of lunch last Thursday?) It could have been very possible for JBR to run by her brother and eat a few pieces of pineapple out of his bowl....OR maybe BR had cereal for a snack, left his bowl on the table with just a little milk in the bottom. As the intruder was leaving the house he puts the remaining pineapple he used with JBR in BR's bowl and leaves the wiped down flashlight on the counter. A move like this could definitely insure the $5k bonus. The intruder could have had a list of things to gather while the R's were at the party, from their home, to make them look guilty. Food is an excellent reward for anyone , especially children.

pineapple fruitcake = patsy

seems like the killer had to have some lights on in the basement or use a flashlight to be moving things around in the basement

and i think that light would be seen from the outside of the house
which the "INTRUDER" might not want the light to be seen

unless of course John errrrrrrr uhhh i mean the killer were to be using the
night vision binoculars which would allow him to roam around in the darkness
with no lights on

amazing- night vision binoculars were in the house

that pesky intruder sure was lucky
he found a pen, a notepad, pineapple, night vision binocs and other things right in the house

You would have to check with Boulder PD who I know at least officially cleared "Santa" and his wife but my recollection is that their DNA didn't match that of the "intruder" and so they were cleared, but maybe someone else has more details.....
