The ability to laugh during our hard times has been a saving grace for me. I hope these two short videos give you all a welcomed belly laugh today. I know that I needed it. :)

@imstilla.grandma , that treasure of a mirror is better than the very deceased bloated squirrel we found in the pool☹️.
Please forgive me but I’m belting out a good laugh. Yuk! That had to have been so gross. I don’t know why I’m still giggling. My son and I banter back and forth with a dark humor sometimes. It helps us relieve the tension.

1. Angelina Jordan - singer from Norway. Won Norway's got talent at 7 years old.
She is a prodigy and a wonder.
She is the best singer I've ever heard. I've been a huge fan for 6 or 8 months.

Well, I forbade my husband to buy extra toilet paper, given that we have several editions of the Merck Manual with very thin paper. And this, too...

Families First Conavirus Response Act:

https://www.miamiherald.com/news/business/biz-columns-blogs/article241611201.html

"On March 18, the Families First Coronavirus Response Act (the “Act”) was passed and signed into law. The Act, which applies to employers with fewer than 500 employees, provides for employer-paid for leave for workers who need to take time off of work due to events caused by the outbreak of COVID-19 in the United States. There are two paid leave provisions of the Act: the Emergency Paid Sick Leave Act and the Emergency Family and Medical Leave Expansion Act. The law goes into effect on April 1 and will completely expire on Dec. 31."

The first step to moving on is to understand what you’re feeling. And perhaps the best way to understand what we’re all going through is to look at the Change Curve, which was originally created by Elisabeth Kubler-Ross in 1969 to describe the stages of grief.

Today, we use this same model to show the stages that people go through when they experience any crisis or major change. Here’s a look at the Coronavirus Change Curve.
Coronovirus-Change-Curve.png

It’s worth poiting out here that not everyone goes through each stage, and some people spend longer in one stage than in others, while others skip some stages altogether.

Globally, we appear to be moving onto sadness at the moment, and maybe even some acceptance. But individually, some people might still be in denial or anger phases. Again, this is completely normal. And even if you’ve moved past the acceptance phase, we’re living in an uncertain and extremely volatile world at the moment, so it’s possible that other events, such as an economic downturn, could take you back to the beginning of the curve again.

The point of this exercise is to understand your emotions better, not to see who has progressed through the curve the fastest.

What stage do you think you’re in?
Where are you on the Coronavirus Change Curve?

I am pleased that the President has extended the social distancing guidelines through the end of April. I hope and pray that the vast majority of Americans will adhere to the social restrictions to curtail the spread of COVID-19 and flatten the curve across the country. I realize that social distancing might be difficult for some, if not many people, but it is imperative that every one of us adhere to the guidelines for the benefit of all. We are in this together, and together we can and will bring closure to this horrific international health crisis.

TOMORROW (from Annie)
The sun'll come out
Tomorrow
Bet your bottom dollar
That tomorrow
There'll be sun!

Just thinkin' about
Tomorrow
Clears away the cobwebs,
And the sorrow
'Til there's none!

When I'm stuck with a day
That's gray,
And lonely,
I just stick out my chin
And Grin,
And Say,
Oh!

The sun'll come out
Tomorrow
So ya gotta hang on
'Til tomorrow
Come what may
Tomorrow! Tomorrow!
I love ya Tomorrow!
You're only
A day
A way!

Although coronavirus has been keeping people apart, communities have been coming together in their time of need. All over the world, acts of kindness and solidarity have raised spirits.

In the UK, hundreds of thousands of people have signed up to join the NHS's volunteer army, smashing the government's recruitment target. Stephen Powis, NHS England medical director, said there had been "outbreaks of altruism" and he was "bowled over" by the response from volunteers.

And to connect with each other, people have been putting images of rainbows in their windows and on their balconies, in a colourful sign of optimism.

Highs and Lows...

Our days are filled with them at the moment. How can we rise up at our lowest moments? We have the ability. How do we begin to see the light? First, we’ll have to open our eyes. How many of us go through our days, thoughts running through our mind searching for hope and peace. I know I do. Isn’t there a moment of glimmer that we might overlook on our way to the darkness? I believe there are Jewels of Positivity hidden away in the treasure chests of our minds. We all need a little help finding a way to unlock these gems. Let’s help each other find a universal key. I’d so enjoy reading your positive thoughts. What is your Sparkle of the Day? I think you’ll find as you go about your day - you will find it. Write it down. As your day progresses, you might say - Wait, I have another that makes me feel even happier. Write this one down too. See your rise. Climb up. Don’t worry, if you fall, someone will be there to catch you and help you put one foot in front of the other. Use this visual aid to track your own progress. Share with us. Let’s climb together. I am so grateful for all of you and Websleuths. I am blessed with a lovely supportive family. I have no real physical friends. Not a single one. Y’all are my only friends.

Saw this on FB this morning! I know we are not supposed to quote FB I just thought this was uplifting coming from a DR.

Imagine all the people...
—-
In life, there are so many things that divide us. Religion, race, politics, social status and so much more....But today a global pandemic brings us all together as one.
—-
Over the next few months our health care system will be tested. Many lives will be lost. Health care providers will be under an incredible amount of stress to save thousands of people. But when times are as dark as they are today, nothing shines brighter than the human spirit.
—-
There is something beautiful about a collective struggle. And the beauty in what we are facing today is that the only way to overcome this pandemic is for us to all come together as one.
—-
Nurses, doctors, students, research scientists, politicians, Uber eats drivers, cashiers, factory workers etc.....Getting through this will be hard but one thing is certain...the only way we will get through it is together, as one
