Surprisingly, my hubs and I are getting along better than ever. Which is weird because our kids said at the beginning of the lockdown, 'the virus won't get you, cuz you'll kill each other first...lmao' :p

Seriously, we had to count our blessings, and we took emotional inventory and realised how lucky we were that our kids and our grand baby and my Mom and our siblings, nieces/nephews, cousins and close friends were all healthy and safely locked down, in a warm safe place, with food and just enough money coming in.

We looked at everything in a new light and felt very lucky and appreciative. So even though we are both retired, locked down together in a small cottage, 24/7, we have not been bickering, which our kids expected we might do....

After 40 years together, we do have things we can still agree on...
Sadly not the same for everyone. This link explains UK has an average of two women every week killed by their partner. In the first 3 weeks of our lockdown 14 have been killed plus two children.

Good morning WS friends. I’ve been MIA. Taking a break. My husband needs me now. COVID-19 is breaking his spirit. It was already in need of mending. We’re fans of an old band. He used to sing this song to me. He played it last night for us. I think he’s trying to say goodbye. Remember always...

Katydid, that's fantastic, and after 40 years together, too!

Many here have posted music groups that have been doing live events which for many others, finds that music comforting from our youths/past. Just came across this as I'm sure many of us are Pink Floyd fans.

Pink Floyd to stream a concert for free every Friday – starting today | MusicRadar
In a gesture to fans during quarantine, Pink Floyd will stream a live gig from their archive every Friday. The concerts will stream on the Pink Floyd YouTube channel at 12pm ET / 5pm GMT every Friday.
Here is the first one remastered from last Friday.

Ohhhhh Imstilla....... I am so sorry. But oh this song is just such a classic piece of music gold. My husband was in a band as well, and I always wanted him to play this for me. It's not that easy a piece... but Leon was one of the most most outstanding pianists ever. I was so sad when we lost him a few years back. You tell your husband that he has sent me a lightening bolt of feeling with this song.. please please thank him for me. And hug him. If you are lucky enough to be able to hug these days...you are pretty d**m lucky! So please give him a virtual hug from me!!!

btw... i know there are many may covers of this song. But there is no version, that can come close to this original cut and video...

My husband has an appointment for getting his hair done on Wednesday. What are you gonna do? He is an old coot.

Well, whatever.

Earlier in your post about Willie, I swear I saw another song underneath the Lucas Nelson song.
It was Summertime by Billy Strings and Marcus King I'm posting it here because those guys are a two of the guys to "Fill Their Shoes".

Since our state has decided to "open" everything for business, I had our house cleaner back today! Yay! She is fine. She wore a mask while cleaning today.

I am back to work as well. I needed a total mental health break last week. Fortunately, my jeans still fit. I am wondering about hair...I might just let it go.

Your message is so kind. Thank you. We were outside late last night looking at the stars and he asked me for my iPad. I had no clue what he was fixin to do. He blew me away with one of the most romantic evenings ever. This isn’t like him. It used to be. A long time ago. We hit 45 years the end of March. Life! It’s crazy, isn’t it? Up and down wild rollercoaster. I awoke this morning with slow falling tears for my pillow. I couldn’t sleep and those tears just kept slipping away. Just like time.

So sweet. I am lucky, to have had 10 years with my current husband. His dear wife spent 42 years training him, so he is absolutely perfect now.

Many here have mentioned weight gain/loss during pandemic. You're not alone.

Opinion | COVID-19 diet memes prove we never stop hating our bodies — even in isolation

Diet culture is so ingrained in how we view ourselves and others that even when we’re alone, with no one to “impress,” we are measuring our bodies.
I really hate this universal quality. I wish we could all learn to love ourselves a little bit better. This quarantine seems to have had the opposite effect on me. When I was working at the office, I never took my lunch. Therefore, I ate fast food almost every day. I never took the time to exercise either. But now... I’m going for a walk or bike ride everyday just to get out of the house, and I haven’t eaten fast food in more than three weeks. My waistline and digestive tract couldn’t be happier at the moment. I know I’ll fall back into the fast food habit when I return to the office, but I really hope I can at least keep up with the bit of exercise.

Anyone else getting "OCD" fatigue? I think that is what will refuel the next resurgence of the virus. Unless you are really focused on the 100% maintenance of not touching anything, not touching your face, wearing gloves, wiping everything, wearing a mask, avoiding all encounters with people...it is inevitable that people will start slipping up.

I'm going super short for summer, if I hate it, it will be in that awkward stage when we are isolating this winter.

Me too. Absolutely. I’m also tired of sweating in the hot heat. My hair grows so quickly. I have to cut it so frequently to keep it from waist length. I’ve decided to let my 13 yr. old granddaughter cut it tomorrow to very shoulder length and framing around my face. It’s so gray anyway - really who cares? Simplicity is the new sexy.

I never stopped slipping up. I screw something up each time I go out. And then I grit my teeth all the way home, anxious to decontaminate. This part I hate. I just hate it. And I was OCD before, so some of this was ok with me. But it’s such a damned ordeal to leave and come back.

I don’t think I will relax the whole decontamination thing even though I hate it. I really don’t.

Just remember that super short requires more regular salon maintenance. I’m growing mine out so I can avoid getting it cut more often.
