Welcome.

Don't know why Fox Orlando are the only source of all pics but thank heavens they are somewhere. What news outlets think is important is a very severe limit! I'd rather see the lot and decide for myself.
There is a Crime Scene photo thread here but too general and things tend to split off into more specific threads.
From memory there are threads discussing photos of:
Laundry bag
Plastic Bags
duct tape
heart sticker
etc?

I wish the pictures were posted HERE (on WS in general) and that we could view them HERE instead of having to bounce back in forth from the various local Orlando websites! And I have no clue how to copy a picture easily from the Fox website and upload it here. Makes it a pain to discuss these very important pictures to have to reference another website and say like "Picture number 101".

EXACTLY! I agree! If anyone is on the up and up and can do something like this.....I am not nearly computer savvy enough I'm afraid.........

I do not think these show same box.

I am red/green colour blind, but I can see a colour difference!

I think it probably is the same box and just looks lighter in the closet because the light is bouncing off it?

Maybe the label is "Caylee Marie"... it looks like the officer holding the box in the close-up picture has slightly moved the label upward with his/her glove so that the "Caylee" part is now under the label holder and the "Marie" part is the only part showing.

OK I am on very shakey ground with colour subtleties. Can't find any other box in pics. Just as well we do not want 2 boxes!

(bold above by me)

Yes. We do know.

The document I'm reading says "in the search area, a heart shaped sticker was found similar in size....". It doesn't get any more specific than that about where in proximity to the body the sticker was found.

Don't you think that given that LE rushed to search because of the heart shape on duct tape and find of 3/4" sticker.

Finding a box labeled Caylee.... or whatever, containing mementos, with a 3/4" sticker backing carefully cut out and saved, was UNBELEVABLY FORTUNATE.

I fail to see why some at WS do not think this is at least a huge lead SHOUTING! to LE

Of course it's so obvious it MUST be a plant to incriminate KC?

I think in this case with heart sticker being a central part of the warrant application and the evidence that was disclosed, LE could NOT withold THE vital found sticker. They must be showing us the one they were describing to the Judge to get a warrant! He is going to be "not well pleased" if they now hide that sticker and just show any old sticker they found down the road.
They didn't need to find a sticker for the warrant. They found a place where a sticker had been on the duct tape. That would be enough to include stickers in the warrant.

No, but given what sort of thing they could only dream of finding, they stumble on this!!

First thing Yuri did was check it was not April first. Then he fainted!

So what does lane 6, 40 to 50 ft. west of baseline mean?

Pg 3500. The evidence description list locates that item collection in Lane 6, 40-50 ft. west of baseline. This would place it at least 10 ft. south of the remains and about 20-30 ft. west.

Also it was recovered on Dec. 18, seven days after the remains were first found.

Aha! Thanks. That puts it in much better perspective.

Wow, Herc. Magic Words!!
I have been granted special powers.

I vow to use them sparingly, and for the good of all mankind - except KC

If you read through the crime scene docs you will find that LE defined the south edge of the south curb of Suburban Dr. as an east/west baseline and then set up "lanes" parallel to that that were numbered one through nine (I think) from north to south. They also set an arbitrary north/south baseline to the east of the remains and referenced east/west locations from that.

If you read to the end of the scene description docs you will find CAD plots that will give you a better mental image of the system.

Ah, saying that LE rushed to search the house because of the heart shape on the duct tape is WRONG. If I read the documents correctly (and I am sure someone will correct me if I am wrong) the heart shaped residue was only found once the FBI examined the duct tape at their lab. there is no way the tape could have gone from the site, to the ME's office, to the FBI and to their lab quickly enough to send LE tearing on back to the Anthony house that same night. There were OTHER things found, the winnie the pooh blanket for example, or even the duct tape itself that made it imperative to seach the house again as quickly as possible.

ETA: Please see Detective Melich's supplemental report that was released on 2/18. Page 5 of the pdf file, page 3378 handwritten on bottom right hand corner for verification of why LE applied for and executed search warrant.

I went for a rummage around my house and found 3 different types of stickers and an adhesive sheet of reflective design similar to the sticker sheet found in KC's bedroom.
Every single one of them is foil, not paper on the adhesive side, which suprised me.
Here are some pics. I have put the finest (lower right pic , 3rd sticker) in a bowl of water sitting in the sun (currently 107 F) to see how long it takes to break down, if at all. I think this one will, but it might take a while.

Note that these are my stickers not KC's
