Dozens of animals soon to be homeless
A St Cloud Animal Shelter is closing at the end of the year and that means dozens of cats and some dogs need a new home.
The Barking Ark Animal Shelter is closing because it's losing its contract with the City of St. Cloud, which is opening its own animal shelter in January, 2007.
The Barking Ark is a private shelter that takes in stray animals. If the animals aren't claimed after five days, they are put up for adoption. But any animals still not adopted by the end of the year, will be euthanized because the new city run shelter won't keep animals up for adoption for more than three days.
