hello, I would like help finding my cousin (not blood related) . She is a member of the Lummi tribe, and she and her 3 siblings were under guardianship to my aunt because her mom was using heroin while she was pregnant with her. She has a severe intellectual disability and when she turned 18, she returned to live with her mother, who I believe lives on the reservation. I just want to know how she is doing, since I (or my mom) haven't received any contact from her since she returned. I don't know her last name, just that her name is Maleana, and I believe she is around 19-20 now. Thank you!

Unfortunately Websleuths does not engage in helping to find living people unless there is an official report by LE or in the media. Many people over the age of majority disappear voluntarily, and it would be a breach of a person's privacy if we had a group of people trying to find them.
I'm not sure of whatever policies Lummi tribe may have in place as it relates to confidentiality but they might be helpful because the various bands and tribes do seem to place importance in helping relatives reconnect.
Click HERE for a page of contacts within the Lummi tribe. Hopefully you may find someone within the various departments who might be able to help. The tribe has approx 5,000 members, so IF they are willing to help, they should be able to search their registration database easily on the rather unique name Maleana.
Even IF they are not able to share your cousin's information due to confidentiality issues, you could request that they pass your contact information along to her in the event she does want to be in contact with you.
I am sorry we are not able to help, but I truly hope the above suggestion can be helpful in bringing about a reunion between you and your cousin Maleana.
