Here it is Judges Ruling about Cameras in the Courtroom.

or they are already on to the next salacious story and think their readers are just as over the circus that comes with JA as I am.

LOL. So true. I probably wouldn't have bothered to watch it all this time. Maybe just a quick peek now and then. Although I do miss my Juan. :heartbeat:

I am kindof glad JA will know she is not performing for any audience other than her jury. I think the media coverage of the trial phase gave her entirely too large a platform to "perform" upon.

I will follow the outcome but am sort of happy to know I won't be tempted to watch the sentencing phase as it is now out my hands :)

I'm kinda glad. It's such a circus, and I don't think I could watch Nurmi stammer around again. Or the woman attorney (I've already forgotten her name HAHA) pout and carry on.
But I am interested in how ONLY the sentence phase will be carried out. Surely no new evidense or theories can be introduced. I think the new jury should just watch the footage from the first trial.

Her audience is gone for her to see or hear immediate reactions to fuel her ego, but I bet the judge or her appointed aide will view the video before we ever see it....and probably delete parts....however maybe they will catch her finger slicing neck demo etc....she should not be allowed to get away with that. So no cameras until after the fact....and that is maybe.

Will people beable to post live from the trial? Or will we have to wait for reports at breaks and at days end?

Wish we could see the trial live, but then She will not have her live audience to act for....just after and we can fast forward then I we so choose!

MsJosie, I think this typo should absolutely be a word in the English language! I love it!

*I'm torn. If Jodie wants cameras in the courtroom broadcasting live as it happens, then I say NO. If Jodie says she doesn't want cameras, then I say "bring them on!"

One of the things that really frustrates me with this ruling is that this trial was a real education for me in the differences between what the media reports and what actually happened. I mean, I know that the media often gets things wrong, or least interprets things differently, but if you read/heard what was reported a lot of times, you would think they'd watched a different trial IMO.

The current dictionary and I do not get along at all. Way back in the dark ages, beable was one word in our spelling class....now it is two words...there are other words that were compound words that now are two words...sigh. It just shows my age. Some blame goes to the iPad that changes words without or with out my permission!

I do understand though what you are saying.

Unless she plays mind games and says 'YES' when she actually means 'NO' and 'NO' when she actually means 'YES'. She has nothing better to do in jail than plot silly things like this! :scared:

Seriously though I am shocked that she doesn't want cameras and I can only conclude that the reason for this is that she concerned about her fading looks. She cannot or does not care about what is actually beneficial for her case. This is the same woman who gave an interview minutes after the verdict. It was beyond her to understand just how cold-hearted that made her appear. She doesn't really care about how the media will negatively affect her case as she thinks she can manipulate and convert almost everyone into a 'Team Jodi' () supporter.

No way to know if no cameras was the butcherer's preference or imposed on her, even against her wishes, by her DT. She gets to dictate a lot, but I suspect can't override her attorneys on this if they so chose. I imagine JM is hunky dory with it because no cameras eliminates multiple whines and motions by the DT about excessive PR. I bet Stephens is relieved that both sides are good with this and that her courtroom won't be turned into a freak and porn show again. I hope the Alexanders are happy to be spared having to grieve in front of the world again.

And best of all, I bet the butcherer is NOT at all happy to be deprived of the attention and a chance to trash Travis publically yet again. :D

Month after month, the public followed this trial and Sleuths scrutinized every move, every utterance from behind a magnifying glass. We know just how this murder was committed and how it was premeditated. We know how the victim was tortured and suffered. We know from massive evidence and from her own confession, who the murderer was. We heard all of the killer's cold, emphatic lies and saw each and every falsity exposed and destroyed. The killer is perverse and we witnessed every wrinkle of that, gagged on every deviation and lurid context. We studied her defamation of the victim so as to save her own skin such as it is. The jurors, just as we did, found her guilty of first degree premeditated murder with aggravation of extreme cruelty. Now, and belatedly, we want to see and hear how Justice is reached and served. It is natural and reasonable, after the long, acute process of determining guilt for the monstrous crimes against Travis Alexander, that we be present as punishment is exacted.

No. It will still happen just on delay.

I hope it is swift and clear. and I hope she gets DP. Not because I am glad someone else will die but because it will limit her life. It will contain her better.

Oral argument scheduled for 1:30 p.m., journalists likely will be held out yet again but will watch for any tweets.
