@Knox, can’t remember where I read it so this is IMO, the Oahu burial council is there as well.
Unfamiliar with them and their function, what would the OBC be doing there? Isn't that an ancestral organization?

Has it been said what they are being charged with?

According to family members at the scene, Lehua Kalua was arrested at the home, while Isaac “Sonny” Kalua was arrested at Pearl Harbor this morning.
Missing Waimanalo girl Isabella Kalua’s adoptive parents arrested in connection with her disappearance

Waiting for a link to the pressor to pop up~
Did he work at Pearl Harbor or something?
I actually didn't think it was the adoptive parents but I haven't been following this case on social media so I had no idea. So sad.

I’m not sure, but I believe it’s along those lines.

There are ancient remains all over the islands, so it's very common for them to be there to monitor whenever there is a dig, just to be sure any native Hawaaian remains are handled with proper respect.

SO glad that they've kept up this investigation and that we're finally moving towards justice for Ariel!!

Colour me thoroughly unsurprised.

I hope Ariel is found, and she gets justice. Sadly I think there's very little chance she is still with us. I'm glad LE seems to have been doing things behind the scenes. For a while there it did sort of look like they'd given up.

This story has been on my mind since the day I read the thread for the first time. I've always suspected the adoptive parents. They never should have been able to adopt one kid, much less all of them. Our system has got to get better about protecting our youth. I'm so heartbroken right now.

Seeing that tent go up is always sort of bittersweet.
I hope they found her too. And whoever hurt her, pays dearly.

I am so relieved to see this news and the arrest! And so sad for what it means likely happened. I'm going to drive by there later today and will snap a photo, if I can. So glad all of you, and the other social media sites, have helped keep this case in the public eye. Let's get answers and justice for little Ariel. Thank goodness the other kids won't be able to go back to that adoptive family now!
