What major FB tweaks?

I'm not the right person to explain Facebook convolutions, but a lot of users have been complaining that some things are not available that used to be, and it could be possible that some things that were no longer visible became visible again. It's just a WAG. In any case, those pages have separate owners so it's not like one page owner changed both settings.
I don't know the story on what happened to make either page go away -- but they're back, for now.

The facebook pgs have been up for several weeks, nearing a month almost.

One thing I noticed today -- having a better sense of what to notice than when I first read Chunk o'butter):
On Sept 15, 2013, SC posted a self-described rant about pouring his heart out to someone only to have her go off with someone else. Now there is a new post asking if that pity party was before or after he robbed her and slashed her tires. I looked up the arrest article, and the burglary he's charged for did happen in that week of September (8-19). It wasn't just a theft, remember, a tires of one vehicle were slashed and another deflated.

Appears it was someone he was into and mad at.
In the court records on his theft case, there was a request that he not contact someone of female name while the case was pending, which the court granted.
That same girl posted to K S FB that it was amazing how she and Charli and other girls had fallen for the SC BS. (Not sleuthing this innocent person, just figuring out that his crime was acting out over some sort of relationship.) Then it appears she gave his name to the police Feb. 24th, soon after Charli went missing (2/9), five months after the initial crime report --while the police were at the Haiku residence for some other reason. (I keep thinking about the car parts that turned up, but don't know).

Thanks for not mentioning her name. The case is widely publicized but some of these people have nothing to do with the crime and you can't imagine how upsetting it is to come in here and see someone digging into your life and every comment you've ever made on facebook or anywhere else on the web just to try and figure out the mindset of one sick man.

Those pages have not been up for weeks. I check. Regardless, it is heartbreaking knowing what we know now and reading back.

yes, I can imagine, actually.
Her name is in public records not because of the Scott murder. It's there as a crime victim of the burglary and because in that case there was a court order sought for him to stay away from her.
But unlikely the public would take much interest in his felony burglary had it not been that he committed murder.

i think SC got upset and went and slashed tires and took some of the other guy's stuff and her stuff - and this got him jailed. If true, it shows him having an emotional outburst that has some violence (against objects).

And his weapon of choice having his violent outburst was a blade and stealing possessions.

We can't discuss here posts that are not public but don't forget that just because so much is visable to pubic on SC facebook Chunk page doesn't mean he made everything public.

WS RULES
Social Networks

Regarding Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, and other social networking or blog websites: Links may be used to direct posters to view something on a social networking page. But postings on social networking sites are not considered fact; they are rumor. Copying and pasting, or taking screen caps, directly from these pages is not allowed. Paraphrasing is okay. (Exception: If the Twitter or Facebook post belongs to a verified news station, it may be copied. But a link should still be provided.)

Also, social networking pages may only be linked if they are directly related to a case, i.e. the victim or suspect. We don't want to post to someone's mother, brother, employer, milkman, or postal carrier just because they know the main player. We also NEVER link to minor's pages (unless they are the victim). And be sure that the page actually belongs to the person being discussed. Do not link to someone if you are not 100% sure it is the correct person. And if a social networking is set to private and you get in the back way, you may not post what you find. Private means private!

Right, there would be a lot that was never public. Perhaps some that was public is set differently now too. There is very little personal on his page so I expect that he sets that for friends only. Public is his political views, humor, information shares, "philosophy" shares, stuff he is selling, etc..

What surprises me is that the disturbing "humor" that was posted public remains visible even after it was much talked about.

Yes, then later reports tended to bump it up to 5 1/2 and "almost six." But I do not know how accurate any of it is. I think the first reports just wanted to make the point she was substantially pregnant. Later there was a focus on how close Joshua was to having his own life.

i think it is pretty clear that SC was looking for a relationship or romance of some sort during that time, and that he considered his relationship with Charli to be in the past and just occasional. Whether "hookups" as he put it were between girls or as a reaction to getting dumped doesn't seem to matter in the overall picture. He generally didn't treat Charli well or with the respect she deserved and he used her on various levels. Her sister and mother have told the story on that.

Oh, and there have been posts saying September but not necessarily by people with access to her own calculations. SC posted some dark stuff in September. It has occurred to me that anxiety could have been there from either a specific encounter or it could have been hearing she was "late" if she chose to share that. In which case it would lag a month or so.

Hard to say without family sharing her due date, but it is not something I need to know. My interest in the date is if he had some reason to think he might have engendered a baby at the time he was posting negatively about getting someone pregnant with his "humor" shares. I think he answer is yes and just shows he had no wish at all to become a father which he admitted in his interview. And he thinks of it all in a crude way and not in a loving way if his choice of humor reflects his state of mind.

I have my doubts that he is pure sociopath though. (But I don't know him.)

Any one want sleuth statistics for carjackings on Maui? I can't remember hearing about any. Stealing cars is common. Not with someone in it who recognize you day later on island.

WAS SC trying make it look like someone else or was he just covering tracks as he went and had advantage of a few days? He changed his story so many times any how. Wonder if he will testify in court.

He won't testify in court. A good attorney never puts the defendant in a murder case on the stand. He just sits back and forces the prosecution to prove beyond reasonable doubt.

it will be very interesting to hear the prosecution theory though.

Prosecution is still Tracy Jones and Robert Rivera?

Re changing his story, I think that is because there is not enough truth in it for him to have locked in his version at the beginning. Mainly the whole episode with a vehicle needing assistance was a fabrication, and he apparently didn't think through all the details of what was wrong with it.

he also didn't think through the story on when he last saw her behind him, another thing that never happened so he has to pretend to have memories of it.

It's much easier to lie about part of something that really happened and remember just the bits you are changing than it is to lie consistently about an imaginary event in a way that convinces people you are drawing on real memories.

I'm not sure he had much of a plan worked out.
No I don't think he had planned a frame, because then he would have pre-planned an exact location where she may have run into trouble with a stranger, and he didn't do that.

i think it's hard to be sure what he did because it was somewhat disorganized and reactive, not methodical. Yet at the same time he managed to hide her remains in spite of all the searching and without having a boat to take her away from shore. And that part would seem to suggest he had a plan. But then there was evidence all over the place.

Have you heard anything different? As a Maui resident, what is your opinion of them? I've read that Rivera has a great track record for victims of violent crimes and for really caring about getting justice.

Haven't heard different. I have heard Rivera knows plenty about MPD corruption. I'm team Charli so I'm team Rivera, Jones. The island will be watching this trial, maybe nation. Could be biggest their careers. Hope they put in the extra hours.
