I'm confused on this!!
""Hearsay for now:
the police gave the grand jury some evidence that a truck lifted like SC's and with blurry photo of driver that could be Steven was captured on camera in Paia at a time when he later claimed his truck was disabled out near Keanae. ?What night was this?
From the Ladle indicated he initially said his truck was there overnight. ?Saturday night??
fromtheladle said SC was seen "in Hana" by someone late that night ?what night? miles past Keanae, in a car not known to be his."" ?How can he be possibly seen in his truck but then in a car not known to be his??
1. SC's truck, by all accounts, including a sighting of his truck in Paia on 2/9, was not in Keanae overnight. What time?
2. SC was possibly seen in Hana, dozens of miles passed Keanae on 2/9 late at night, in a vehicle not known to be his.
Sorry about confusing things. From the Ladle said the Paia sighting on Sunday 2/9 (time has NOT been released to public) contraindicated his truck being stuck overnight in Keanae, meaning Satuday night. SC worked on Sunday. There may be an early version of his story that he went out to Hana Saturday and had to wait to get it until after work the next day, and another version where the whole truck incident happened on Sunday after work. SC told the family at least three versions, and who knows to the MPD.
In any case, the Paia pic is supposed to be at a time on Sunday when his truck should have been stuck. The question remains whether it is truly a pic of SC in his truck, because the motion argued it was at best a possible sighting of a similar truck driven by someone of similar description, blurry.
FTL's other info says that he was seen in Hana past Keanae, that would be Sunday night, in a vehicle not his own (no comment on whether it could have been Charli's Forerunner). No other source on this, hasn't been in the media, has rumor status at this point. I am not treating it as a fact. But if SC was seen, and knew it, that could account for him admitting that he was out in that area on Sunday with Charli instead of saying he had no clue where she was.
As a note: it has been said that they had similar vehicles. I haven't seen a pic of the truck Steven was buying, but from the motion description of the grand jury evidence, Steven had a lifted truck at that time. Charli's Forerunner was not lifted, and is not a truck either, so while they at one time both had Forerunners, that doesn't seem to be the case on the date in question. (If SC still had one, it may not have been running?)
