PT, does that line up with a reasonable timeframe? Could she have met him on Hana instead of picking him up as he claims?

How would he have gotten there? He say's they went out there together and I believe the pings concur. But the horror could have started in Nahiku.

I haven't heard testimony on the phone pings yet. Still trying to figure this all out in my head. It would give him more time if she met him there. But if the pings tell a different story back to square one.

Is this the first time SC is seeing these graphic pictures? The red clumps of hair, the body piercing, the jaw?

A small part of me wonders if he killed her and had someone else do the other horrific stuff. He's talking through these interviews pretty calm so far. It's either all going to come together and make some sort of sense or we'll never know exactly what happened. I'm worried that as of the testimony presented so far there is nothing concrete tying him to the actual murder. Just because of this (for example he was on that road) doesn't mean that (murder) in the rules of how a jury is directed to come to a guilty plea.

What if we speculated that they all three went to Nahiku. SC kicked Nala out of the car and started driving back as he didnt want her protector around. Forget 18/19/20/21 MM's. . He takes her to Paraquats and kills her. Throws his jeans away Kaumahina. Prepares to get rid of her car. If we start in Nahiku it takes the question of backtracking out.

I have been considering that scenario, too. SC must have subdued Charli before releasing Nala, no? Or, perhaps that precipitated a huge fight that led to her death, unplanned or rehearsed. Hopefully the pings will add clarity.
PT, what is the turnoff road to Nahiku like?

Psychopaths/sociopaths lie with ease. They are cons.

We know that but does a jury? I'm nervous.

I used to think his ruse to get her to ride with him was to pick parts off of an abandoned Forerunner he saw near Keanae. That would also explain him showing up with tools when he got in the car. The thing I struggle with is Charli had to work the next morning. Her coworkers said she never missed work. Charli must've have been subdued in the Haiku area, otherwise she knew it would be a repeat of January's attempted kidnaping.

Btw, that phrase of his "I'm coming around to the idea (of having a baby)" seems very rehearsed. When he says "my baby" it lacks conviction. When he talks about his dogs, it's with passion and authority.

One of the very few reactions from him day 5 part 2 around 13 minute mark he laughs at his own statement about hardly ever drinking but quickly catches himself. One of the few reactions I've seen from him. Wonder what he found so funny about that, that he actually had a reaction?

HA! What's so funny about that is that he said he doesn't drink and drive, but at the time of Charli's murder he was driving on a suspended license due to a DUI.

Middle of nowhere. Going towards Hana you climb out of a gulch and it is a fork off to the left at the top right before another sharp right. A Stop sign and maybe a sign that says "Nahiku Landing"

It interests me that out of the 5 days of this that is one of the very very few moments he moved and had a reaction.

18:59 of part 2: Loo asked him if he put the hazard lights on, and SC says, "No, I didn't know when I'd be able to get back to it and the hazards <unintelligible> your battery." (Probably 'the hazards drain your battery.')

The hazards would not have worked if the battery was the problem.

Another great catch, Kapua!

Loo says that leaving your car on the side of the road on Hana Hwy is like leaving a $100 bill on the sidewalk. He told SC that he's a local boy and should know that. LOL.

Kapua, I pray these are things that are pointed out!! I would not have known that.
I look at testimony as if I were a juror and that's pretty important to point out.
He also said that he wasn't sure what the problem was so not wanting to potentially drain the battery also makes sense.

Are there many residences on that road? And roughly what is the distance from the hwy to the Marketplace and end of
road?. My thinking is that he must have driven down that road quite always to release Nala for her to not have followed his truck back to the hwy. Travelling a distance would have increased the likelihood he would be seen/recognized by someone on that road if homes are present.

Also, he said that he went to a bar and got "trashed" when he and Taylor broke up; the night that he got Charli pregnant. Sure doesn't sound like a guy who "hardly ever drinks". If the jurors are paying attention, they must be thinking "this guy is full of it." IMHO.

Yes, she had to work and her car was low on gas. Of course he may have had cans of gas at his place.
I cringe each time I hear him say, "my baby/my child". So rehearsed.
Haiku seems to be a very likely place to subdue her to me as well, Loio.

What he really means is I don't drink and drive...anymore...because I can't with my suspended license. And, I don't drink often, but when I do, I make really bad decisions.

Thanks for the video, Kapua. Long road (+/- 10 minutes) with a number of driveways. I didn't see the Marketplace, though; perhaps it's on the hwy? If SC drove down that road in the dark he probably disabled the led lights in the skull to be less recognizable. If so, that further leads me to believe Charli was earlier subdued or killed. Whether or not that was at Paraquats or Haiku I have no idea.
