Was the Forerunner found part way in the road to Jaws surf break, or almost to the coast? Google Maps is giving me a one hour walk from Hana Highway, and a 2 to 2 1/2 hour walk from the surfbreak depending on whether walking the main route or the mauka side of Peahi Road. Not bothering to list all the variables Google shows, just saying the time might be a problem for a pedestrian to meet up with Taylor Farner.

When did Farnelli strip the 4Runner?
Didn't see that in the news articles we got, though it was probably in the testimony. It would be nice to know.

  • #803
There's a lot of activity to include either way.
Indeed, but with testimony that he had her car almost in Hana and was burning it at Peahi at 12:45, maybe we can get a time he would have needed to leave Hana after doing whatever he was there for? I would add a bare minimum of 15 minutes after arriving with vehicle before it got to bad smoke with the neighbors. The car stripping done before Farnelli got to it has to be included, and putting it on its side, removal of any personal items left ...

It takes 1 hour, 41 minutes to get from Hana fire station to Jaws without traffic according to Google Maps. ;-)

So if he left Hana at 9:00, he'd get to Jaws by 10:41. If he left Hana at 10:00, he'd get to Jaws by 11.41. If he left Hana at 11:00, he'd get to Jaws by 12:41.

So let me float this theory. SC picks up an accomplice in Hana. Accomplice drives SC home so that he can get his other truck. Accomplice drives Charli's vehicle to Peahi and burns it. Meanwhile, SC meets Taylor at Hanzawa's, then picks up accomplice and drives him back to Hana.

That doesn't account for the searchers missing the vehicle on Tuesday or PT taking his dirt bike there on Monday, but at the time, searchers were looking for a missing person and not a burned vehicle. Still, if they were thorough, they should not have missed it.

Another theory. He didn't actually burn the vehicle at Jaws, but farther up the road, and the person who removed the doors towed it to Jaws to dispose of it.

I think the vehicle would have been too hot to tow or handle for quite a while, so that requires going back to the scene, more dangerous. Also it won't tow well with no tires and warped metal wheels. ?

Possible theory, yes, and accounts for going to Hana. Need to add skyping with CK after Taylor. Showing her his hands. Then another round trip Haiku to Hana, wow, that's a lot when he is working early in the morning.

Burning at the top suggests he did not have an accomplice. He could have gone home and grabbed a bicycle. More likely he just walked. Hour at the most. Lets work backwards.

Skype at 2
Taylor at 1:45
Home by 1:30
Left jaws at 12:30
Arrive Jaws at 1215.
Left Hana at 1100
Arrived Hana 10:30
Left Paraquats 10:00
Arrived Paraquats 9:30
Left Haiku 8:30.

Im having a hard time making it work.

Those times are estimated as an empty road to someone familiar with it on a bright night you can go fast. He says he drives fast. Im going to assume it took him 10 minutes to kill her as he had extra light tools. If he had staged to area previously then he would make quick work of it.

Was there any testimony as to his demeanor that Monday?

Not that I've read, unless you include him being in a hurry after dropping off the backpack at the Kaiser's in Makawao. His coworkers say he was making lots of mistakes at work and appeared out of sorts on Tuesday.

Same for me. And I'd love to hear about Monday at Mana Foods. Tuesday he had the cops at his door and told people so the changes in him were natural, but Monday the only reason to act weird would have been what he did the night before that no one knew about. I think one or more witnesses we've seen from Mana were off work on Monday.

Charli's last phone ping was at Paraquats at 10:56. I had assumed that he disabled and disposed of her phone shortly after that last ping. But if we instead assume that:

1. he left her body at Paraquat's Sunday night and
2. her phone was with her in her pocket or purse, and
3. her phone battery died shortly after 10:56 and
4. he went back to Paraquat's early Monday morning or late Monday evening to finish up

then your timeline works.

Edited to add: The Skype was at 2:30 so there's 30 minutes wiggle room.

And lack of sleep

And lack of sleep
one would think it would show. I do remember going to work at that age after dancing most of the night, but I think I must have looked wrecked.

Was SC headed east or west when Jennifer Taylor saw him?

The damage this man has done to so many lives is irreparable. So many witnesses have a former boyfriend-girlfriend-husband-wife. I'm sure SC's alleged involvement caused a lot of strain in some relationships.

I think he's turned south at that point, but he's going towards Hana, maybe two miles from the town IIRC?
I also noticed the divorce count in two years.

In Friday's Maui News article, JT testified that he was going toward Hana. In Thursday's Maui News article, JT testified that he was traveling at approx 20 MPH. And in Friday's Maui Now article, JT testified that her friend's mother's house was near the Hana fire station.

And I also noticed how many people were not with the wives/girlfriends husbands/boyfriends they were with 2 years ago. Adam Gaines, Kyle Knight, Jennifer Taylor, Fiona Wais, Carlos Young, who else?

I've been putting the timeline in the timeline maps, media and timeline thread. I'll put it there from now on and let you know its there for those of you who want to reference it. I put it here so it be corrected or added to but I agree it's getting too long.
