Does anyone really believe she fell off this cliff by accident when her belongings seemed to be scattered in the area...? MOO but I'm not buying it.

That struck me as odd as well. Her phone and an article of clothing were found nearby, strewn about. Not with her. That to me seems very strange. Unless she was stopped for a break and set those things down? So we are to presume she was out on a walk alone then. Set some of her things down and fell off the cliff accidentally. This right after an argument with someone who leaves the next day for rehab in another state. These are strange facts.

In another article her dad says that she knew her boyfriend was going to leave the state to go to rehab in California.

The day he was leaving just happened to be the day after she went missing and died by falling off of a cliff.

This is just another tragic fall off of a cliff and and nothing more.

Body found confirmed to be that of missing woman on Hawaii Island
The body found two weekends ago near Hawaii Island’s Wainaku Scenic Lookout is confirmed to be that of Megan May Funderburk.

Hawaii Isle police confirmed her identification Friday.

... Authorities said an autopsy revealed that she died of an accidental fall and foul play was not suspected.

The family is working to organize a celebration of life both in Hawaii and Oregon.

I don't know if they will run a tox screen but since her boyfriend checked into rehab, it's possible both of them were using recreational drugs and she could have been under the influence at the time of the fall. It's not fair to the family for me to speculate further as that's just my opinion. LE may or may not run the tox screen, and if so it's usually not posted publically. May she rest in peace.

Sounds like that path is in desperate need of a damn rail though.

I went and read the article and it really doesn't sound like the other death is connected just coincidentally occurred in the same area at about the same time. That one sounds like there was some sort of incident at a homeless encampment and the person taken into custody was related to that incident.
