Police seek help finding missing Lihue man​

The Kauai Police Department is asking for the public's help to find a missing Lihue man.

Ronald Stephen Bartel, age 50, was last seen by a neighbor on the morning of Sunday, April 5. Bartel is currently a student at the Kauai Community College and staff reported him missing after he failed to report to class. Friends are concerned for his welfare.

Bartel is six feet five inches tall and weighs roughly 250 pounds. He is bald with blue eyes and is of Caucasian descent.

Anyone with information on Bartel's whereabouts is urged to call Det. Ray Takekawa at 241-1881, or KPD Dispatch, 241-1711.

His Namus lists a vehicle, a green 1997 Nissan Quest but does not provide a license plate. More information is needed on if this vehicle is missing as well.
