HLN Coverage On Baby Lisa This Hour 10/17/11

This is all MOO. (sorry I have to vent a little)
Ive been on the fence and I slipped a little here and there but never fell off till yesterday. I am furious and sick. I do NOT believe she was as drunk as she is claiming. I believe she is setting up her defense. Her newly hired lawyer has been in contact with them for over a week. I think he told them lets do a media blitz let little pieces of the story out to different people, state you were drunk and in a possible black out and then Ill step up say enough is enough and finish the story.
I do not know what happened to this beautiful baby, but I believe her mother does.
I also believe they need a lawyer but this big high profile lawyer? I think its over kill for an innocent middle class family JMO. That being said he is very believable and I like him I just think they shouldve called someone off "Main St" so to speak.
I pray Baby Lisa is found safe, healthy and happy today.
I pray Im wrong about her family. (and I HATE to be wrong lol)

I Know I'm struggling with that too; BUT I don't see how being drunk can be an defense but I'm not an attorney either.

One thing I keep going back to..is that in MY EXPERIENCE people that are so drunk that they can't remember everything they did aren't that meticulous at covering their tracks. And at this time we the public haven't been made aware of any evidence left behind of any kind of crime.

I just don't know what to think..

It is interesting that I have had almost the opposite reaction. I only started thinking about getting up on the fence recently. I still do not necessarily believe or trust what I am hearing from the interviews but I am feeling more and more that the family (especially mom) isn't really *please please don't jump all over me for saying this** smart enough to plan anything very elaborate or sophisticated. I'm not implying that criminals need to be rocket scientists or anything but many of the elaborate theories or discussions I have seen here would require a plan or strategy that just seems beyond her capacity to me. The more I see her, the more she comes across as immature and irresponsible. Maybe that IS the strategy - who knows? :waitasec:

I agree with you.

That's why I lean towards, IF she killed her baby, it was a drunken accident. That said, my heart doesn't bleed for parents who willingly get plastered and kill their baby.

What happened to the lady thats ex fbi working with wild Bill. The threat specialist? Uhm? Guess they didnt get the help with the lawyer in Illinois either. Makes u wonder if Wild Bill had to take another avenue because of things he has found out. moo :twocents:

BBM. During the afternoon presser yesterday, BS said that he went to KC to learn about what was going on and bring in people who would be able to find Lisa. I think BS learned some things about the case that convinced him that the parents needed an attorney, so he contacted JT who is also from New York.

I would be willing to do this, provided I was allowed to meet with the child psychologist first. I wouldn't balk at LE being present during the process, as long as LE wasn't doing any of the questioning and I was privy to the entire interview. I can see myself agreeing to that.

So I guess I'm not a complete hardass.

Not sure about the local LE there,

However, Here the children are most always interviewed by an outside Child Psychologist / Psychiatrists that works as a liaison for LE, with the Parents present and NOT LE.

At time the Child Psychologist / Psychiatrists, will ask parents if they could watch through a 2 way mirror or close circuit TV.

ALL interviews are taped, Parent can then give consent to give to LE these tapes or not.

HOWEVER, if the children have witnessed a crime that was committed by the parents and tell the Child Psychologist / Psychiatrists, the Child Psychologist / Psychiatrists, is compelled by law to give this information to LE.
