Shannons 911 call ... I also posted this in the Shannon possible victim forum...Here is a snippet of an article re the fight to have Shannon's 911 tape released which I picked up from another thread......

"Suffolk County argued Wednesday that police should not have to release the 911 recordings made the night Shannan Gilbert was last seen — a disappearance that led to a criminal investigation into the eventual discovery of 10 sets of human remains in the area of Gilgo Beach.

The release “would compromise confidential information and interfere with and frustrate the SCPD’s efforts with respect to that investigation,” Det. Patrick Portela, the lead investigator, said in a court filing."

If there is no connection between Shannon's death and the LISK/Gilgo beach murder victims. how could anything on her 911 tape compromise that investigation????? SCPD has just basically admitted by this statement there's a connection between these two cases!!

And if there is something on her 911 tape that would compromise the LISK investigation then how can we believe her death was an accident...if her death was truly and accident SCPD wouldn't fighting so hard to keep her 911 call under wraps

For what it is worth, I just finished reading the book titled "Confessions of The Oak Beach Drifter"

Do not waste your time. Adds no insight to the LISK case(s). Paints a very negative picture of the Joseph Brewer character, but is mainly about the author and his friends and their criminal, unethical and immoral exploits.

For you forensic specialists, is there any way of testing a building to see if human remains were stored there previously?

The drifter/author mentions a terrible smell in Brewer's basement. If decomposing bodies were in the basement and after the bodies are removed can you test the concrete or wood in the basement for signs of human decomp?

Imo, his notably questionable views are arguably due to a combination of confirmation bias and lack of formal forensic psychology training. It reveals itself in his repeated, yet unsupported, sweeping generalizations... for example, in TKS, that serial killers *always* revisit dump sites, that they're territorial, etcetera.

In any event, here is the article about JT's remains.

Right. Wasn't it also PBs opinion that a sk wouldn't pick a dump site near his home? Which is obviously not the case....Famously Gacy, Dahmer, WMK, etc.
I thought his opinions very well thought out and looked forward to hearing more, until I heard that statement.

I think what PB meant was typically a SK either uses his own property as a dumping ground or if away from that dwelling typically it's out of sight out of mind in case it's discovered.

I think it was lost in translation, bearing in mind English clearly isn't PBs native tongue.

I wouldn't focus too much on that statement, as clearly you could pick one of probably over 200 SKers quite readily who use there own grounds to bury/store victims.

Have you also read "The Last Happy Hour" by Peter Hackett's father?...the book is supposedly semi autobiographical re the life of Charles Hackett and his son. I would love to read it and see if it could give any insight into the actions of Peter Hackett today and any possible connections to LISK....apparently the book talks about how its impossible to reform and also that father in son spent a lot of time in Atlantic city...which leads me to wonder about the possible connection to the 4 Atlantic city victims.....

And it's MM's triangle, so she deserves the merit, I only used it.
But now seriously, do we know whether the burlap the GB4 were wrapped in were sacks or just cloth? I take it, someone could also get cloth there?

In one of the pictures I seen where an officer is bending down picking up a victim he had a burlap SACK in his hand that looked tied or taped up.

Researchers seem to all agree that serial killers have a genetic predisposition to kill which manifests it self in differences in brain function from individuals without such a genetic predisposition. Brain scans of serial killers have revealed lower levels of activity in the orbital cortex the area of the brain which regulates impulse control such as violence, sexual and rage impulses. Researchers also seem to agree that this difference in the brain is not a guarantee that an individual will become a serial killer but if a trigger event happens in childhood a high percentage of people with this genetic difference in their brain will become a serial killer. The triggers include, childhood physical, emotional or sexual abuse, or severe neglect. That's why I am so interested in reading the Last Happy Hour to see if I can gain some insight into PHs early life and if the book contains any clue that he was exposed to any of these triggers in childhood.

I saw the gravestones on display and it was in a restaurant or bar that faces the ocean. When I woke up there was a herd of elk in my yard and one was albino. I feel that means our heartfelt prayers will be answered soon. Just my opinion, of course.

With a bunch of unidentified victims involved in this case, probably involved in sex work, I've been thinking a bit about where to find old ads for sex workers. The two places in the NY area I immediately thought of were The Village Voice and Screw magazine. Not sure if this is pertinent, but I get a man who fancies or fancied himself a "Renaissance Man", including being quite good and receiving accolades at bow hunting. There is or was an archery range on his property. Something to do with archery.

I am not experienced enough to know or say. I am a rookie but I will suggest to you and everyone else to trust your instincts. Humans have lost the primal side to self protect from predators because we second guess ourselves.
