SR, yep I get that, its just the lack of removed clothing that gets me. And if the 2004 JD is his, then the dormancy was broken before 2006 so you couldn't argue that point.

Thats what leads me to believe the AC4 kills were someone else at the start of their timeline rather than someone who had a break. The AC4 thread is a great read, cynical has done a great job.

It has been a while since I have read the AC thread so a referesher may be good for me to reevaluate my thoughts. Thanks! Yes if 2004 JD is related, I may have to look again at my theory of dormacy & a stresser. The death of JD 2004 is estimated to be 3-10 years prior. If it is closer to the 10 years, my theory could still work. I appreciate your thoughts.

Only reason why I don't think AC4 is connected is that they don't appear to have been sexually assaulted. I.e. they were clothed.

I remember this was posted years ago because of the burlap, and although that is a very intriguing similarity, it's worth noting that "disposal method" sounds different from any LI or AC victims. None of our victims were partially buried, I think our killer likes to dump and get the **** out of there quick. This was also behind a truck stop, which says to me the killer could have been a trucker. The only two cases of interest on LI where victims were buried are Lattingtown & Muttontown.

I believe the killer of the GB4 used their services more than once before he killed them,thats how come two of them were comfortable enough with him to leave their phones behind.If this is the same guy its very possible he could have met them more than once.

Nomad, I do wonder if Leeann's POI was a frequent visitor to AC. Many Long Islanders do visit AC as a common weekend destination. And someone of means could possibly visit for a month. I could be way off but the idea of a stresser facilitating that trip makes sense to me. An article done a year or so after the AC murders make reference to Molly Dilts traveling to AC prior to her living there & possibly meeting someone of means. She returned with a new black dress & made mention of staying at the Borgata. I almost wonder if she met the killer before her murder.

Depends on whether you're inclined to believe the New Bedford Highway killings are connected or not. And if you do how wide the catchment area becomes.

Personally I believe anywhere by road from LI to Boston is fair game for unsub.

All of the LISK victims have long gaps between murders. Of the 11 victims on Ocean Parkway the time span stretches from 1996 to 2010. The 11 victims of the new Bedford killer listed on wiki all stretch from April to Sept 1988. Seems like a different killer.

I believe there are 2 killers - LISK for G4 & Manorville Butcher for the dismembered bodies. I believe LISK is more of a spree killer cause he kills in a short period of time (like New Bedford). He seems to have spanned a littler bit more with G4. I think it may be because he is older & he was on his home turf.

There seems to a lot of similarities. One thing that bugs me is in AC, bodies are laid out Victim #3, #2, #1 & #4 - starting from the West & going East. At Gilgo it is #4, #2, #1 & #3 - also going West to East. So #3 & #4 are switched. Maybe just coincidence but I do find it odd that the earlier victims are in the middle of the line & the older ones are on the outside.

If the G4 and AC4 were one killer, while the Butcher was another, and John Bittrolff was a third...it would mean that John Bittrolff killed a woman whose daughter was best friends with Melissa, victim of the G4, that the Butcher chose Bittrolff's hometown of Manorville to dump torsos, and that Bittrolff grew up around the corner from Kim Raffo, AC4 victim.
What are the chances?

Sep 2010

4 victims in 3 years. The first two separated by 2 years. The New Bedford killer is 11 in under a year. That is a whole different thing.
