HODGE-PODGE - LISK-related

Im waiting for the LISK to wash up on the beach because he played in Butchers playground. Thats the type of stuff movies are made out of. Shotgun rights to film!
There are still unaccounted for parts of the girls down at OP. It would be pretty crazy if they popped up over there. There HAS to be survellince cameras up there. Too much money for their not to be. Makes OB look like the ghetto.

Living by the ocean is much better than the Long Island Sound. Sure the north shore has pretty neighborhoods but nothing beats the shoreline of the LI beaches.

Its called the gold coast for a reason. I was referring to the per capita income of those neighborhoods versus OB. Not the scenary.

Whatever your fancy tho. I am on the water enough to know I do not want it in my backyard. I spend alot of time in the cobalt blue waters of the northeast canyons, and gulf stream waters. When I get back....I want concrete! I have definitely gotten off the boat jumped on the dock and kissed the ground. I mean full on lips (No tongue) on the dirty pavement where I have to wipe dirt.asphalt off my lips.;

@Peter Brendt,

PB! I am interested in your thoughts on this when you have the time.
Last night I listened to an interview of writer Philip Carlo on YouTube.
If you Search YouTube using "inside the mind of a serial killer" you should find it. It is a coast to coast am show with George Noori (Sp?) as the host. I found it extremely interesting and heard a lot of info I hadn't heard or read before. Anyway, Philip Carlo is the author of the night stalker.
Here is my question to you...in your research have you ever heard/read that serial killers emit a certain strange odor that smell like wet Leather??? Mr. Carlo talked about this and said that victims that survived a sk attack claimed that the sk had a very distinct and strange odor. Mr. Carlo said that when he interviewed Richard Ramirez in prison he said he detected a strange odor that smelled like wet Leather. He mentioned this comes from the glands. Have you heard of This? maybe we can send TS on a mission into OB or Massapequa to start sniffing people.

Relax, it's no miracle, it has in fact a scientific explanation. Victims of violent crimes, and that is not limited to SK victims, are in the situation under high levels of adrenaline. Adrenaline has a lot of effects, one of them is often described as sensual awareness.
The smell of sense is one of the oldest senses (right after touching) and it has some direct connections to the emotional centers of the brain. So what happens is, when the adrenalin goes up, is, that processing speed fires up and smells, like other sensual input appears stronger. However, the nose takes only a number of aromas at the same time and how we interpret a smell, for example wet leather versus wet skin, depends on the number ot molecules per cubic inch of air, we pump through our noses. So, simplified, the same smell reaches a new level of nastiness. Sweat wet skin suddenly smells under extreme levels of adrenaline like wet leather. Some people swear after their first bungee jump, those bungee cords smell like burning tires. And sex after a good adrenaline rush leads to the next ones, because all touch feels more intensive.
And another little "nose-trivia": Women have better noses than men. Comes with the evolution. That explains why most of those "smell-reports" come from women. Most, but of course not exclusively.

I believe you, I tend to be VERY olfactory, but...

This is the link to the Philip Carlo interview.
In it he himself, philp Carlo said that he smelled a distinct odor coming from Richard Ramirez who he said was freshly showered. The kind of odor that surviving victims of other sks had described. Yes, eewwwwww!

@PB,
I read your post again. Are you suggesting that phillip Carlo's adrenaline was up on the chart while interviewing Ramirez, and that would explain why he also had heightened senses and detected an odor he interpreted as strange? hmm. that does make sense. Sorry, Im a little slow sometimes.

Well, I can't speak for PC, but my adrenaline was up when I got my first and as of yet only chance to interview an SK ... but then, what he smelled wasn't maybe even from Ramirez but from the interrogation room or something. However, smell, as a pretty primal and underdeveloped sense in humans, can be easy confused. If it would be so easy to just smell SKs out under all conditions, we wouldn't need to talk so much about them, would we?

Do ypu think it's possible that Cadaver dogs could sniff out this (if indeed it does exist) deep seated smell exuding from SK's during say an interveiw of a suspected SK?
Even if the supect had showered since handling a dead body?

It's not too far fetched to think that the body may absorb these smells and exude them even after a shower. Homicide detectives and ME's can't (from what I've read) get the smell of death off them or their clothes or out of their noses.

Hell, they taught Roscoe to sniff out bedbugs!

Also, sorry Justice and Moon, you may not want to read this (yuck factor),but many of these sk's are also cannibals. I know what consuming too much garlic or cumin can do for one's social life. but human Flesh?.????
