EXCLUSIVE: You are looking at one of the crime scene photographs in the Holly Bobo case. Is this the footprint from the person who abducted her? Tonight -- in my special report -- the evidence against the two suspects in the case. Will it be enough to convict? See for yourself tonight on Newschannel 5 at 6!

Didn't the judge scold the media? Why would they jeopardize a gag order and run this special report?

ETA: Thank you all for your updates! You're the best!!!

Sorry to jump in mid stream. I have followed this case since before I registered and then took a break from it until recently. I have a question tho, and it may been a dumb one, but, can someone tell me why JA was so heavily guarded and in maximum security suit and the other 2 were not?
Also to add, a friend just explained to me that 1 TB can hold 2 million photos.. So, WOW! That is one heck of a lot of info.

JA had escaped while in custody one time. He's also in federal custody.

Autry made news in January 2008 when he escaped from the Decatur County Jail. He was jailed on charges of burglary and theft over $1,000 and less than $10,000.

Autry, age 39, was already being held at the Riverbend Maximum Security prison in Nashville. He was incarcerated after pleading guilty in May 2013 in federal court to felon in possession of a firearm charges and sentenced to serve 100 months in prison.

It would appear that now that it's been decided that this is a death penalty case, the 3 will be tried separately. I can't see how they can try all 3 at the same time. It would chaos. JMO

:seeya: Hi n/t !

There was no gag order in place when this exclusive news report was aired. BUT the Judge did say that he would consider one IF these "leaks" continue ...

You Foxfire, have my vote for post of the day.:loveyou:

Because the truth as we know it thus far is the ONLY FACTUALLY IDENTIFIED VICTIM IN THIS CASE IS HOLLY BOBO and her loved ones.

Furthermore, JMO but it seems that this thread has become a place for commentary on the speculated failings of the American Justice System, as well as abuse of criminal defendants rights, rather than about Holly--which is so disappointing.

I don't think anyone is disputing that Holly is the victim, but it has become abundantly clear that the prosecution is playing games and hiding evidence. I'll join the guilt bandwagon when they show some evidence or some sign that they aren't just holding these men in jail indefinitely while they try to come up with a case against them. Everyone has constitutional rights so that they aren't just arrested and held without evidence. Thus far, the prosecution has refused to produce the evidence against them. It should make you more angry that the government isn't following their own rules. Why are they stalling? Why won't they give the defense the evidence?

:seeya: You're welcome ... but ya know, it does seem like there is a gag order in place because we know nothing -- zilch -- about this case !

Not everything is the prosecutions fault. Fletcher Long's troubles were known as soon as he started representing JA including another partner's troubles. His recent conviction also led to delays as well as the Vanderbilt case that was in trial earlier this year.

We just aren't privy to what all has been going on to blame the state or the defense. If the defendents rights were violated, there would have been some big news, which there isn't. Not sure with so little news how one can assume their rights have been violated?

Thank you Dr. Know, I guess I haven't been clear but in essence I just want the facts--and to date there are no facts to support the accusations that are flying around--no one knows at this point why things have gone the way they have. And I suspect the majority of these unanswered questions will be answered at trial as there is approximately 4TB of evidence to be considered in this case.

It has been my experience that wild speculation, supposition, and out and out gossip mongering becomes heightened when waiting for a trial, which is especially true when little to no information is being shared about the facts of the case.

I do not think it is helpful or judicious to find ANYONE guilty of anything without first getting all the facts and evidence, this includes prosecutors and judges, as well as defendants. And one final note; it is particularly interesting, and rather unfortunate, to me to see the use of shame and guilt as a means to achieve self serving ends--IMIO

It has been in the news. There's a lengthy write up on the wikipedia article about it. The judge threw the book at them in December over this and we discussed it thoroughly here. Just because the news media isn't siding with the defendants and writing OP ed's complaining about how unfairly they're being treated doesn't mean it hasn't happened.

BBM - how then are we reading about a drive with several terabytes of data and complaints that it is not indexed? Which is it, "No Evidence" or too much not indexed?

It amazes me that some people have been fooled by the antics of the defense lawyers but by my observations they have thus far conducted themselves more like Dewey, Cheatem and Howe.

Well we *do* know the prosecution has missed deadlines for turning over evidence, but yes, I agree, we should wait until we have all the evidence. We have seen zero evidence against these guys.

Not everything on Wiki is true nor what is in the news. For instance, when the airliner MH17 went down in Ukraine, Russia was rewriting history daily as to who shot down the plane. This happens every minute on Wiki in regards to other historical facts and that's why you just can't trust it.

So far, there has been no "facts" other than the judge scolding the prosecution over the delays. Wiki doesn't make it true. I see no screaming from the defense on the matter, do you?

Yeah, so Wiki is most certainly not where I go to get my facts or to become more well informed

Wikipedia has sources though, just click on the numbers and it will take you directly there.

I don't understand-this is from People mag website:

"The murder was especially heinous, atrocious or cruel in that it involved torture or serious physical abuse beyond that necessary to produce death," the filings state.

What exactly happened to Holly? How was she killed? Did they confess? I thought no details were known.
