Holly Bobo, missing from TN 2014 discussion #1 ***ARREST***

I'm going to assume that both Holly and ZA were there. Furthermore, I'm going to assume that Karen might have been there, too, and that information is being kept quiet (for whatever purposes).

If Karen had noticed ZA stalking her daughter, perhaps she did go up to ZA and say, "Zack, I'm Mrs. Bobo your fourth grade teacher. The girl you are talking to is my daughter, and you're making her uncomfortable. Please leave her be."

At some point during the evening, maybe he told Holly he would pay her a little visit sometime. Because now he knows who she is and where she lives... Maybe that's why Karen flipped out when she heard what was happening. But the information wasn't shared with Clint.

I think the term "knew" is subjective. There is a family that has lived in my neighborhood for 60 years or more. They parents raised kids who have had kids and so forth. The family is ill reputed and most have stayed in this neighborhood.

I have met exactly 2 of this large extended family in my neighborhood. Those two I met briefly on two occasions.

Do I know the folks I met? Not as far as I would describe it. I have met them. I do not know them or travel in the same circles.

But if asked if I know the Joneses (not their actual name) I would probably say I know OF them. I would not say that I "know" any of them even though I have MET two of them.

Tugela-- the answer to your question would be yes.

I've amended my view on this though since his arrest. We have all seen Zach Adams now and have a good idea what he looks like. He is 6'-3 and 150 pounds. He would be almost 6'-5 with a pair of hunting boots on. He is skinny as a rail to boot.

This does not match the description given by Clint Bobo of the abductor. He stated the person was around 5'-8 to 5'-10 and around 200 pounds.

The theory I am leaning towards now is that Zach Adams WAS there, fidgeting and anxious while waiting for the "other guy" to return with her. This likely would have been when he was toying with the phone and posting his version of an idiotic alibi. The time she was abducted and the time he posted it is too close together for him to be doing both at the same time.

I'm thinking that law enforcement knows they have one of the perps in their possession, and are hoping to put the squeeze on him to rat out his cohorts and also to ultimately give them the location of her remains.

Whether or not this tactic is going to work is left to be seen.

Clint estimated the suspect's height between 5'9" and 6 ft. tall. Clint Bobo is a very short person so the heights he gave would be considered tall to him in comparison with his own height, imo.

I believe LE has proof that ZA is the one who came there and kidnapped and murdered Holly and that is why he was arrested so fast after the search warrant of his home and property.

It is a known fact that many eye witnesses get the description wrong of the suspect. However Heather Sullivan's composite drawing does look like ZA. Same MO too. Coming early in the morning.........abducting or attempting to abduct a woman who was alone. Came to abduct on foot. Tried to lead both victims away.

Their main target into this entire investigation is Zach Adams, imo. He is the big fish in all of this. We heard of no other arrest and there may be none or perhaps there will be at a later date. I do believe there will be several witnesses though who will testify that ZA bragged to them how he kidnapped and murdered Holly.

If there are co-conspirators who exist they would be just as guilty as he is and be eligible for the death penalty too. I think all of them will keep their mouth shut for now.

I believe the TBI/FBI have already found remains or partial remains of Holly and that is why for the first time ever the Bobo's are willing to accept she is dead. So they would have no need to parlay with any of these horrid individuals.

If there are others out there the TBI/FBI is going to get them all.

I do not believe that Holly's remains have been found yet. I think if they had, LE would have announced that remains believed to be Holly's had been found. I feel that they woul release that information to further scare any cohorts involved or witnesses after the fact into coming forward to spill what they know in an effort to get ahead of whatever charges could be involved for themselves.

It is MOO that announcing remains were found if they had been would prompt anyone involved in the kidnapping or disposal of body after the fact or anything that was done to harm her in between to be very frightened that some sort of evidence tying them to it would be found with those remains and therefore, would sing out and make their deal if possible to turn on others.

I feel pretty confident that ZA is indeed the person Clint saw that morning grabbing Holly. I think there were others involved, possibly waiting some ways off with a vehicle awaiting to make the getaway.

I think more than one person was involved in possible harm to her and I am pretty darned confident that ZA is the one who killed her. Possibly manipulate others to assist in disposal or creation of alibis.

I believe someone flipped on ZA and gave LE that one piece of information they needed. And also I believe that if there is anything to keep him from the DP it won't be 2" in height. JMO

First time I have seen this. Wow.

Bobo's face might not be shown during murder trial unless law changes

http://www.wsmv.com/story/24959870/...-shown-during-murder-trial-unless-law-changes

I don't post here often, but I have to say this is absolute bull*****. ZA has had every opportunity handed to him on a silver platter, and he has squandered every last one. What chance did Holly have? NONE! What did she do to deserve being kidnapped and murdered? NOTHING! And the prosecution may not be able to show her picture because it may prejudice the jury?! I really despise our frickin criminal justice system. And my heart just breaks over and over for Holly's family.

Sorry--rant over now.

Hmm. That Facebook post is concerning to me. In 2011, folks didn't really post to FB via smart phones - or at least it wasn't regular practice. Heck, he may have not even owned a smart phone at that point. I didn't. I had a Blackberry for work and a Samsung flip phone for personal use. Also, she lived in BFE, so cell/Wifi access was probably non-existent.

If he posted that from home, it isn't likely that he is the perp, given the timeline, IMO. LE needs to release some of what they have on this guy to clear up the doubts. I fear they may have just honed in on him because he bragged about doing it, which is something stupid people do rather than evil, calculating perpetrators.

JMO

I agree 100 %. If he was sitting at home on his computer when he posted that on Facebook, then the case against him will dissolve into a lot of reasonable doubt.

The problem here is that the local news station said that they had been "provided" with a screen shot of Zach's Facebook post by one of his friends. They went on to show the time that it was posted and pointed out that it was within minutes of Holly's abduction. If law enforcement never saw that Facebook post and have no idea it existed up until after his arrest, a defense attorney is going to have a field day tearing their timeline to shreds.

No way can this guy be sitting at his computer, 15 miles away from the scene of the crime, and still abduct and kill her 10 minutes later.

I have been watching case very close, I wonder if Zachary Adams has an alibi??

  • #911
I have a feeling with him Jonesin like he must be if he had an alibi he would have given it and not be in jail right now facing murder charges.

  • #912
Thinking about the facebook post, I just looked at my daughter's fb account and there are posts I KNOW she made on her phone in 2011 and very early 2012 and they don't show being posted by phone. Her posts only started showing that they came from her phone in early 2012. So I believe ZA could easily have posted to fb from his phone in 2011 without it being tagged as coming from the phone the way it would today.

This comment made my stomach knot up...wonder what he (Gwyn) means exactly? I'm extremely disturbed by this why would he compare the two...there's lots we don't know...and I don't believe I want to know :(

""I worked one of the first methamphetamine-related murders back into the 90s, where a guy kidnapped two young men, tortured them for seven days, killed both of them, threw them off into Center Hill Lake," Gwyn said. "Fast-forward to 2014, and I thought in my career that would be the only time I would ever see anything like that."

I am very confident they wouldn't have sent their case to the GJ and ask to have ZA charged without giving him a chance to offer an alibi and then breaking it.

Dozens of professionals have been working this case for almost 3 years. I'm sure they were way past alibis by the time they arrested him.

That is exactly what I thought when I read that quote as well - why is he making the comparison, unless he knows exactly what went down

Curious about the questions you have...

My question (if it can be called that) is that; ZA is such an obvious suspect, and considering it's a very small town, LE must have had suspicion, no?

I wonder if he was ever questioned and someone may have been helping him with a bogus alibi....

Assuming they didn't find poor Holly's remains, I'm curious about what they did find that makes them confident they can make a murder charge stick.

I'm also plenty curious about what happened to break this open. They were obviously stuck until just recently and something changed that. The theory someone posted about JA flipping on him after finding God in jail seems like a good possibility.

If ZA was #2 on the suspect list, who in the heck was #1? Hannibal Lector? Assuming, of course that they were in order of probability.

I also wonder just how much screaming there was that morning. You would think seeing the town 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 standing in back of your house, for no reason at all, trying to take you into the woods would motivate you to really scream your head off and put up the fight of your life. But then I remind myself that he told one woman he would gut her so Lord knows what he told poor Holly. And she might have gone with him, hoping to buy time, the same mistake so many victims make.

Gwyn said they weren't finished, so there must be other suspects they are looking at. I wonder what final piece of evidence they need to arrest them.

My last question is this: my personal belief is that LE hold press conferences to1) let the public know they did a good job, 2) address some event that gives them no choice or 3) send a message to someone and they need the press to help deliver that message. With what Gwyn said about other people needing to take the chance to speak up, I would say his press conference was a combo of #1 and #3. I wonder who they were sending that message to.

Once he became an adult, there was nothing they could do to change/help him unless he wanted help. However, I have also wondered how much "help" they gave him for bail and legal fees over the years. Do we know? I wondered how much they really bailed him out, or if we are just assuming they did.

Thanks,

I am also wondering if this family has money or political connections. because he should have spent way more time for the charges on his rap sheet than he did.

Can any locals shed light on his family? (I hope this isn't against the rules here).

I am working on a timeline of ZA's arrests, convictions, who the prosecuting attorney, defense attorneys were. Also conviction/sentence imposed and actual time served. It's going to take a bit, having to obtain docket reports for each county. TN is not that easy to get that from.

But when we see the actual time served, it won't be much I believe. But when I'm finished with it I will post it.

Sounds like something is corrupt. I'm not sure about the family but light sentences seem to have been the norm…Maybe that's why the FBI came in.
