Holly Bobo, missing from TN 2014 discussion #2 ***ARREST***

Just a bit...what, a bit over-reactive? to stage a bike rally after arrests have been made? A call for further action perhaps? Ah -- I dunno. Have never seen a rally after arrests have gone down, is all.

wfgodot, imo just a show of support for Holly & the Bobo Family by a very caring Parsons/Decatur Co/TN community. I realize that it is difficult for those folks that are not from the community to truly understand this. But Holly's abduction, and now the news of her tragic murder has been equivalent to another 09/11/2001 to the Decatur County, TN, community.

After the ride to the Courthouse over the weekend and such, when do you think they will ask for a change of venue? I would think they probably don't want to mess with all the security any more than they have to. JMO

His attorney will probably request it tomorrow. IMO

I have a question. In a trial such as this, is it the County that the crime was committed or is it the State Of TN that has to pay for the expenses? I believe a trial of this magnitude, with all the security, possibly sequester a Jury, forensic experts could be quite expensive.
Just wondering.

IMO emotions are still raw right now. I do not foresee a trial before 3 - 4 years and by then perhaps some of the anger will have subsided and a change of venue will not be required. But then again it's a small community. I just don't see how they will find 12 impartial jurors.

Change of Venue motions are filed by the Defense in virtually every high profile murder trial. Due to budgetary concerns and many other issues, change of venue motions in many high profile murder trials that are approved, as of late, have resulted in impartial jurors being imported from another jurisdiction of the State and sequestered in the jurisdiction where the crime occurred, imo.

That is a very good guess.

I am a little confused as to how the whole pearl heist got twisted into this. Wondering if maybe someone that was tied to the pearl heist gave up information about Hollys murder so that they could stay out of trouble.

We know of 1 person that was threatened by ZA and he is still in jail as far as we know. He seems to be the likely candidate of who may have told LE about Hollys murder. Wondering if he had involvement in the pearl heists and maybe thought giving up info about Holly would be a get out of jail free card.
This trial will be very interesting to see how everything plays out.

I sure hope LE has enough evidence to convict all the right people who were involved.

Just saw the new movie about the Memphis 3 and it was so botched by LE. I hope nothing like that happens in this case and hope LE gets all their ducks in a row.

Reading all the stories, the timing and the sequence of events, I got the impression that the Brays rolled over on Z Adams. And that is why he threatened AB. When the police went to talk to CB, Adams answered the door and gave up some more pearls. The way I read it was that ZA was rolling over on Bray by giving up the pearls. Somewhere in all that LE also went to talk to ZA's brother in jail and D told his mother that they wanted to know about "Zach and Holly"
So it's possible they have 2 or several witnesses willing to give up ZA for a deal.
The whole thing climaxed very fast and is quite convoluted so I may have it all wrong.

JMO

ETA; I am not sure who is OK to name at this point since all of them have been mentioned in MSM but I changed to all initials anyway

I'm confused. If they import jurors from another jurisdiction they won't need a change of venue.

I am not sure that Holly was stalked. I'm wondering if ZA was just planning on breaking in and robbing the Bobo's. Holly happened to come out when ZA thought everyone would be gone. He didn't plan for Clint being there either. Once Holly screamed his plans changed and he took her.

ZA was known to rob people. Going through the woods to hit the homes in that area may be how he always committed robberies. I just think it would be odd for him to see her and plan an abduction. From what I have heard of meth heads, they are emotional, violent at times, and strung out if they are in need of a fix. Just because he has land and knows how to dump a body in a wilderness does not mean he is some genius outsmarting LE.

I just have a hard time buying into some complicated plan by some drug addict that had been caught for multiple crimes many times. JMO

I think its essentially the same thing. Instead of moving the suspect, they just import a jury. Same difference. I don't think the new jury is from very far away though. Like in the Anthony case they came from Pinellas County, which is about a 2 hour drive from Orange County (Orlando)

I have speculated about something like this for 3 years. I said we cant really know a motive until we know exactly what kind of crime this is/was. I considered the idea it was a robbery gone bad. Initial reports of the crime called it a home invasion. I can see ZA doing robberies and home invasions. Those would be planned crimes. Whatever else he did once at the scene would be a crime of opportunity. This could explain the inordinate amount of time he spent around the house that morning. The kidnapping may have popped into his head. This does not mean that her house was not targeted. ZA could have got it into his head that the Bobo's, who seem to be fairly well off (nice house, Holly's Mustang, father owns a business in town, etc.) would be a good target.

I agree... this guy is not a back woods version of Blofeld or Dr. Evil capable of concocting some elaborate scheme. He isn't like some James Bond villain running a global drug network from his back woods crack shack. I have a feeling that, in the end, this will be a fairly straight forward case once details emerge. I could be wrong... but usually most crimes are really pretty simple.

Exactly N/T.... It's a novel maneuver...

I'm making an educated guess that trials occurring in TN and GA are very similar. Retired social studies teacher here. The trial will be held in the court that has original jurisdiction over the location of the crime. A change of venue determination would move it to another court building in another county. However, wherever the trial ultimately is held, the county with original jurisdiction pays the expenses for the trial. In GA, the state will give money towards the prosecution if the county cannot afford to pay for the whole thing.

I have been helping to provide elder care for a relative, and I haven't been able to keep up as closely as I used to do. I have a question. Has MSM reported on where other search warrants related to Holly's case have been executed? I thought it said that multiple warrants were being executed on the same day the Adams property was searched.

'The FBI/TBI executed multiple search warrants and conducted multiple interviews'..
<sniped for focus & BBM>

Agents were seen from chopper images sifting dirt and looking for clues in an area behind Adams' home. They used metal probes as they searched the grounds. Also, the Shelby County Sheriff's Office had a cadaver dog to assist with the investigation. Two to three more cadaver dogs will be made available to participate in the search again Saturday.

At least four vehicles were towed away from a property as a result of the search warrants. In addition, officials conducted interviews in surrounding counties.

"This is a very important time in this investigation. We're not going to say or do anything at the point to interfere with this investigation," said TBI Director Mark Gwyn Friday afternoon. "Hopefully we'll be able to return Holly home safely to her parents. That's our goal."

Gliem said about 15 years ago, when the two were teens, he once threatened her while the two watched TV.

"He had a knife out and he told me how he wanted to gut me and hang me from a tree," she said.

She adds she was shocked to learn Adams was arrested and charged with aggravated assault for saying something similar to a girl he was dating.

"Wow, he still says stuff like that all these years later?" Gliem said, recounting her first reaction to hearing the reason for Adams' arrest.

I just came to a horrid realization. This is a theme with ZA and it is the one thing LE could have found on the property to determine she was deceased without her skeletal remains. :(

Holly....
April has rolled around again. When April rolls around, I think of you. I am still praying for justice for you.
You are gone, I feel that for sure. So that means you are not hurting anymore or scared. You are not hungry or alone. You are at peace and that's a wonderful thought. I wish you could have been found. I wish, before even one April had rolled around, that you had been located and returned safe and sound to your family, friends and community. But that just didn't happen.
The best we can do is to remember you. We can pray for your loved ones. And we can persevere to prosecute your murderers to the fullest extent of the law. It won't bring you back. But it will honor you and your memory.
Its hard to believe you could miss someone you never really met. But you can.
Rest In Peace Holly.....You are not forgotten.

Maybe a little off topic but we have discussed in the last few days and pages regarding friends and family members of victims participating or reading our posts and what we write here. This is a case that is current, and the victim was just found

This 15 year old girl was killed by her 17 year old ex boyfriend. She had been missing since March 11th I believe. The family joined WS while she was missing, hoping for help. They thanked WS for the help.

So sad. It seems like a new generation of domestic violence. JMO's
