Yes, he was complaining about not being able to talk with his client without other prisoners listening in. He was saying he had to yell loudly towards his client and other prisoners could hear.

It really sounds like they are making it difficult for the attorney to talk with client in private. If we believe the attorney.

:seeya: Hi Hatfield,

RBBM: IF -- IF the attorney is believable ...

I like the fact that the discovery is so voluminous that the defense here needs more external hard drives to load the information.

Voluminous. A hard drive of info. This technically might be the equivalent of not complying with the discovery requirements, and it will be interesting to see if this ends up being cited in a hearing on the case (or on a potential appeal) at a later date.

Trial Set for Dec. 17th, so far.
Not sure yet if the both cases will be joined together.

I like the fact that the Judge says he is not going to be playing around with either side (paraphrasing of course). Y'all get it together!

Well, if we didnt know it by now, we sure do after that.

"Its On"

I didnt get a chance to see if defendent had on a zapper device like Jodi had. That would be a good device to put on this guy while in court. Just in case he bolted , they could take him down with the push of a button.

Y'all were right about how big this guy is. He is huge.

I'm not sure at this point. The prosecution made clear that the external hard drives provided by the defense weren't enough. The defense has to go out and buy some more!

Judge Denies Gag Order In Case Against Holly Bobo Murder Suspect

A Decatur County judge has denied a gag order that prosecutors had sought in the case against one of the two men charged in the murder and kidnapping of Holly Bobo.

During a Wednesday afternoon hearing for Jason Autry, the judge said he would not grant the gag order, but he also advised the defendant to "exercise his right to remain silent."

He had something between the cuffs, something black and also as he was being led to see his lawyers in side room, LE had a hold of him from the back where his chains were wrapped around him. Had a tight hold on him.

Austin propbably took LE to where he thought, or knew where the body was and it was moved. I dunno how LE can do much with that argument.

From News Channel 5:

Another motion that was addressed in court Wednesday afternoon was a defense motion that asked for "unfettered access" to their client. Attorney Fletcher Long claimed Riverbend Maximum Security Prison hindered Autry's right to a legal defense. Long complained that Riverbend has not allowed him face-to-face, private meetings with Autry, who is in segregation.

The judge said Wednesday that he would not grant "unfettered" access, but said they would look at Riverbend's policies and review the best course of action.

Yes, I like this judge so far. I just want to see a fair trial and I hate it when there is implications of misproprietary on either side.

The judge also said he is going to bring this case to a conclusion one way or another or something to that affect. I like this judge so far.

In regards to the gag order, the Judge advised JA & his attorneys not to try his case in the media. Can backfire.

He really bent over backward for JA & attorneys in my opinion. If anyone thinks JA & Fletcher are going to be quiet...well. They are probably meeting right now to agree on what to release today. I also think that JA walks down the jail hall yelling "I'm an innocent man" while pretending he's in The Green Mile....jmo

A need for MULTIPLE hard drives for all the "relevant information gathered" just underscores my point even more.

We already know how much Fletcher likes the media...He's always in it with his clients. Especially the high profile cases.

Maybe they can - time will tell. But so far we have to admit that they haven't proven anything to anyone and all they've offered is "because I said so" and "I don't have to prove anything" - neither of which tend to work at all before a judge.

I would agree that they haven't proven anything and I would agree with their statement that they don't have to prove anything...at this point. I don't think the DA would suggest they NEVER have to prove anything. That position might not work, but saying they don't have to prove anything RIGHT NOW, in this context, isn't going to offend any Judge. Now, if they charge Austin and Austin files a Motion to Dismiss and at that hearing the DA says I don't have to prove he breached the agreement, then yes, I would agree that won't work before a Judge.

Dec. 17th is much quicker than I expected.
