Suspect Charged In Connection With Bobo Case Appears In Court


One of two new suspects charged in connection with the disappearance of nursing student Holly Bobo has appeared in court for the first time.

Jeffrey Kurt Pearcy, age 42, was charged with tampering with evidence and accessory after the fact. He appeared before a judge in Henderson County Wednesday morning.

He was seen walking into court in a pink prison jump suit, with his hands and feet shackled.

Also charged was Pearcy’s brother, Mark Lynn Pearcy.

Mark Pearcy was transferred from Decatur County to Carroll County last week, where he has been held without bond.

You know, I'm not quite sure he will be given the same bond. I think his charges may be a bit more damning in the fact that he is a convicted Sex Offender, on the registry.

I was just reading about him a little more, well, the whole family "over there" especially the earlier posts and he sure seems to be the bigger evil of them all...except for the dad, who we know was killed by police.

Update: Per Channel 2 News....
They are digging into the past of these 2 guys. Apparently family is reeling from Jeff Pearcy's arrest. No criminal record?

Mark Pearcy also have 2 unrelated charges...something about a firearm and he did not update his RSO so he is in violation of his probation.

They will have more at 6 and if Quinn Schuler posts this report, I will find it!!

Mark Pearcy is in custody at the Carroll County jail. He appeared in court on June 9.

News 2 learned Mark Pearcy also has other charges unrelated to the Holly Bobo case for unlawful possession of a weapon and sex offender registration violation. He was convicted of statutory rape with a prior conviction in October of 2000 and recently failed to update the registry with a new address, resulting in the violation charge.

Jeffrey Pearcy was charged along with his brother, Mark Pearcy, by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation on May 29.

The TBI said the two men have been charged as accessories in connection with the April 2011 disapperance of Bobo, a 20-year-old Decatur County nursing student.

Jeffrey Pearcy and Mark Pearcy are both charged with tampering with evidence and accessory after the fact, said TBI spokesman Josh DeVine.

Tampering with evidence is a Class C felony, and accessory after the fact is a Class E felony.

Jeffrey Pearcy, 42, was being held in Henderson County following his arrest.

Mark Pearcy, 38, was charged in Decatur County but was being held in the Carroll County Jail. He was arraigned on Monday, and his bond was set at $65,000.

Mark Pearcy is not being represented by Baker, and it unclear if he has an attorney.

Imo, we may all need to fasten our seat belts before this ongoing investigation is concluded.. Imo there is much more graphic info of this horrific crime, as well as others to be revealed. It is highly unlikely that HB was this ever growing meth gang's first unsuspecting innocent victim, imo..

On day one of HB's well planned and executed abduction, it was obvious, due to the many indicators that her abductor/s were experienced psychopathic sexual predator/s/serial killer/s; no strangers to the game.

The news of the indicting video/s, combined with the long rap sheets, meth connections, and other criminal history of those involved is reminiscent of the CA hillside strangers, imo; Angelo Buono and Kenneth Bianchi;

My thoughts too! It would not surprise me if these thugs had some sort of dungeon like room prepared ahead of time (creeps me out writing that!) I too doubt this was their first attack.

What does surprise me is how many thugs are involved; and with so many, how it was all kept so secret.
These kind of sub-humans like to brag, especially to their peers, and would think it would have gotten back to LE allot sooner than it did..... Can't believe there were no confidential informers........ but that's moot now...
This case is certainly like no other I've seen.

Also how old was MP in 2000 and how old was the girl?
