That is a really great point. My parents nor my husbands parents have ever met my babysitter either. They haven't seen any pictures of her and they have only heard her name less than a handful of times. Her name is Candie by the way...and I promise it isn't a code name for "pills". Her name really is Candie :)

But, you can hold a job, and are not an habitual liar and thief. You Mom never described you as a sociopath.

Which is what?

How about: 1) to sue for custody. Failing that: 2) to cooperate with the investigation, and 3) to tell the truth, at least once or twice.

I wish the sound was better............I had my volume up all the way, as well as the volume set on the video, and still had trouble hearing it.

http://www.wftv.com/video/17954916/index.html

It works nice and loud for me and I'm listening only through one speaker (my cat chewed through the cord of the other one ). Since you adjusted both volumes, I think maybe your computer just doesn't work well with this video. That happens with mine sometimes, too.

LP is not Caylee's loved one. I couldn't believe it when I heard him say he was planning a memorial service - it is so not his place.

So, don't attend!

On another note.. :Banane11::Banane10::bananapowerslide::Banane53::Banane09::cake4u:

HAPPY 50TH, HONEY! :blowkiss:

You don't see it as a slap in the face to the family of this person to protest a memorial if they felt their loved one may be found alive??
To write them off like that ??

The A's wrote everyone else off, when they repeatedly lied and obstructed LE.

They have never shown grief, tried to find Caylee, or tried to communicate with "kidnappers" through the media.

CA is a nurse. GA was a cop. They BOTH understand the implications of the forensic evidence.

People have LONG since written them off, because they appear to be protecting and enabling KC, over the body of little Caylee.

People have had it with them.

The ONLY way, IMHO, they could regain some respect and sympathy would be to cooperate with LE, and tell the truth.

MOO

I agree that LP may have said something that were hurtful, but don't feel a lick sorry for her after she called Tim a drunk who feels guilty about his own daughters death.
When you do and say bad things, it comes back to you a hundred fold, just maybe CA's own hands slapped her back.

No wonder he left!

The bond was NOT posted by his nephew........it was posted by a bonding company out of Florida and LP lost his $50,000.

LP actually believed CA & KC to begin with, and that is where he was wrong. He was taken in by all the lies because the GP's continued the lie with KC.

True. LP didn't bail on KC until he read the evidence.

It's like he said, "I want to believe her (KC). I'm old-fashioned."

I understand what you are saying, however they still had no legal rights to them.. Which could be why CA wanted custody.. They just can't take it upon themselves to take Caylee away from Casey without a court order!

During the 31 days, they obviously werent supporting her.. They thought she had a job..

And maybe what they were trying to do when they were supporting Casey is protect Caylee.. Everyone is saying that CA enabled Casey.. But yet, she had a responsibility to protect Caylee.. Maybe that's what she was doing, and not realizing it.. If she didn't support Casey, and argued with Casey or fought with her, then Casey would have taken Caylee away from CA..So maybe CA just thought she was protecting Caylee..

Maybe Caylee is being protected right now..

IMO..

Caylee is being protected? By being DEAD?:eek::eek:

Who would hold a memorial for someone else's child while that child is still missing and obviously the family are still hoping beyond hope (as any family would be) that she is alive? Not to mention the fact that a memorial should include the family in the planning and should follow their wishes. If somebody really felt the need to have a memorial now, it should have been a private one out of the public eye.

I really like Leonard Padilla but I hope he and the other organizers of this memorial do apologize to Caylee's family. I just can't imagine if my child were missing and someone did this.

What is the rush to have a service now? That sounds more like people wanting fast closure and an end to this for themselves.

I totally agree with you. Even if the family doesn't want to have one. Who in the world is LP, to make that call? Because he couphed up bail money, he calls the shots on who's deceased or not? Is he an ordained minister or something?
I feel that Caylee is deceased...BUT LP has no right to decide when "closure" is made.
NO ONE has the right to play God.

LP hasn't decided "closure." Closure is individual. He held a service. That's all, and it's legal.

Anyone can hold a memorial. Quite a number of families and also perfect strangers did it after 9-11. Different countries also held memorials after 9-11, as well.

People leave stuffed animals, candles, and cards at death sites, homes, and embasseys. That's a memorial, too.

I don't think a memorial to Caylee is about comfort for strangers. We all do care and feel as though we are attatched to this little girl but we should have compassion for her family who are deteriorating before our very eyes in their attempt to deny their greif. Caylee doesnt need us to comfort her, she is at peace. A memorial should not be forced on the people who need comfort the most.

Who was forced to attend?

You said it better than I did, Chillly. I agree with your post.

Did you put up $50,000 to try to get Casey to tell where Caylee was?

Im actually torn about the memorial. I would love to see one to bring closure, shed the tears and move on as funerals are meant to provide. If that is what this memorial for is great lets do it...

But if this is just a memorial and the next day will be endless newscoverage and endless A's then we might as well wait.

I dont believe the gps will ever have one, because I dont believe we will ever have a body. But will a memorial really end it all??

IMHO the As will try to keep it going, forever. But, the verdict will end it, for most of us.

Let me see here, the title of this thread is about the memorial NOW prayer service. Let's keep it on the prayer service, so members who have not viewed the thread today can read the "what happened" rather then the "LP" stuff on the negative side.

LP did what he thought was a good thing and let's just keep it that way.

I think any time, any one sends up prayers for this precious child is a good thing. God Bless Angel Caylee.:blowkiss:

I love Lenny! I want to be on his team. I wonder what flavor of toothpick he has...hickory, licorice..what gives?

So this is about money?

I don't think that is what Turbo meant.

In addition to $100,000, at least, LP has invested a lot of effort in the investigation. Now, he is involved in searching. He has, in summary, done more than the family, and has shown more personal concern, IMHO.
