With the long, long, long list of "no one home", "no one lives there", "home is gutted". He's not a very good PI. It would have been easier for JB to place an ad in the paper asking for anyone with information please call his office. And cheaper, too.
Funny how the money this team received ($275,000) prior to ICA being declared indigent was not spent on depos, investigations and such. As soon as ICA was declared indigent, the team had their noses to the grindstone, spending state money. Also trying to spend the same amount the State has to spend. I don't think Baez and his team get the wrongs they've done. It's all par for the couse and goes along with the looooong eight years Baez was held back from gaining his license, unethical, financial mishandlings and such. Baez is not doing himself any good. No one would want his representation should they need it. They would run fast...I do hope when this case is done and over, Baez comes under fire for the many things he's done that goes against his being and "officer of the court". Bringing contraband into ICA is certainly high on my list, along with the boldfaced lies..just color me jaded :innocent: JMHO
Justice for Caylee
He lives approx 2 hrs from Orlando. That would be a 4 hr drive both to and from. You can't tell me he was driving all those days back and forth.
I'm wondering if he isn't trying to charge the JAC for hotel rooms. Also, he was not the one that called me, it was the woman. I don't think she did that for free.
So I've calculated $5100.00 for TES calls and attempts to contact TES witnesses, so 127.5 wasted hours!
I have been wondering about that too. I know the name of the woman who called me and the name of the woman who called a friend of mine. I know some of you here talked about who called you, and it seems like there were at least 4 different people making calls, besides Lyons. I wonder who paid them. the woman who called me was a PI but the woman who called my friend was an Attorney from the Palm Beach area and I am sure her rates werent cheap!
If Lyons calls are counted as investigative hours then the others should be too which puts the defense way, way over the top on allowable hours and in violation of the ruling that said only ONE in state investigator! How do they get around that? I think they called people for 4 days total over a 2 week time period.
You know it seems to me when reading the billing that Lyons could save a lot of time and JAC money if he simply called witnesses he wanted to talk to beforehand and set up a suitable time. Is there any reason it would be necessary for him to turn up uninvited and unexpectedly on their doorstep?

From the Dec 20, 2010 signed order by Judge Perry:
Defense counsel shall coordinate with JAC to ensure that the past and future billings submitted for investigative services are in compliance with JAC's policies and procedures as to the approved rates and type of services that the investigator may bill for. Defense counsel is reminded that there are certain services that may not be paid for by JAC.
Yes, the one that called you was the one that called me and left a message on hubby's cell. I also noticed PI Lyons was at the courthouse for 10 hrs one day. Maybe I read that wrong, but I thought the courthouse was open from 8-5. That's 9 hrs and didn't they break for lunch?
And...all that driving around...you know how far it is to Deland from Orlando and what the gas prices are here. I could almost bet you he is padding those invoices to cover those expenses among others.
Yep, Lyons' billings of $5,100 for the TES volunteers' efforts must be only the tip of the iceberg. What's going on?
$5100 is more than enough to pay for a hotel room, gas, food and the people that helped him make the calls.

Red Flag!!! Then the following week he's billing for the David Lohr affidavit & interview, I guess it was time to go to plan Z!
Thank you, Sun!! I *knew* Judge Perry had said something about this. He's on to Baez like white on rice.
