How much does Jeremy know?

Not to mention that getting black out drunk seems to be a norm for DB in that house. If she is an absolutely great parent, then I hate to see one who is a crappy one. The only reason that these kids weren't taken from a home where their mother/step mother was black out drunk and a baby was supposedly kidnapped, is because the CPS is overworked and underpaid. And, frankly, there are many CPS workers who are just putting in their time. I'm shocked that the kids are still there, but accept it because I know that's the way it is nowadays.

Soo very sad, and sooo very true. Doesn't your heart just cry out for these little children that have no voice; no recourse? Pains me no end.........

Well, norest, I agree with you almost all of the time. However, do we really believe DB was passed out drunk, or was this something she decided to address so that she could perhaps seem not responsible for what happened to her daughter. I don't know the answer to this, however, I find it horribily difficult to believe anything she says.

I feel sad about that, because I believe she and JI loved their Baby Lisa, but an accident happened, and they were too afraid to own up to it. NO WAY do I think they sold, or murdered Baby Lisa!

Prove there is a pattern of neglect that is causing harm to the boys and CPS will take them out of there. Drinking while watching kids isn't grounds, especially if you have no proof of a pattern of intoxication.

Some don't think she was that drunk anyway.

Explain this rational. You believe they loved BL (and I assume the boys) and think it was an accident, but yet you want the boys taken out of there. Are the parents a danger to the boys?

Oh, I don't believe she was black out drunk at all. I believe that her saying she was should be enough to at least investigate the home. But, I suspect that they probably have. And I know how difficult it is to get children out of even neglectful or abusive homes. No, I totally agree with you. Her being "blacked out" and not being able to remember anything was part of the staging that took place. :moo:

Let me just put it this way: were it MY child (and trust me, it never would be) in that situation, YES, I would have taken my child out of there immediately. BUT, the bottom line is MY CHILD would NEVER have been there in the first place!!!!!!!!!!!

Didn't answer my question. Do you think the parents are a danger to the boys, where you believe they did not intentionally harm anyone? If so, that must mean any child that dies as an accident, if there are other kids in the home, should be taken out?

Not too good to go to LE and talk to them though. That means nothing to me that DCF lets them stay there. They have made bad decisions in hundreds of cases. The DCF in this country is horrid. The mistakes made by the courts are insane. IMO, the children should be removed. If they can't talk to LE about their "missing" baby, they shouldn't be in charge of the other ones either. Wonderful parents care about their missing child and do ANYTHING to get them back and get themselves cleared by LE....not these two!

While some mistakes have probably been made it is ugly to condemn the entire Department of Children and Families. Many of these people work long and tirelessly for the good of children, and I for one, am thankful for them.

First of all, do not shout at me. Now, in answer to your question, I truly don't know. However, I do not think this is not a very "normal" household.

Look, cityslick, I never want to believe these parents are/were involved, I have no horse in this race, but where does this leave us..?

While I think it could have been an accident, the innocence of an accident goes away when you don't call for help - when you get rid of the evidence and deny your baby a dignified burial. So yeah, the other two boys shouldn't be around someone (if true), who cares more about themselves than a helpless child. JMO

I agree, until they speak to LE separately, until they do what it takes to find their missing child, they shouldn't be in charge of two other innocents. We don't KNOW what happened. What IF DB or Jeremy did kill her? Are they competent in erring on the side of danger?

While this is OT, I would just ask you to consider the fact that 4-5 children die a the hands of their parents every day, children's services had a case on many of those. There are over 300,000 children in foster care. The system is ugly and over-burdened. I believe the workers do what they can, it goes much higher. When a mother is sent to prison for torturing her children, and then is given those children back when she's released is unbelievable. When one of those children goes missing, which is what happened, who do we blame? The mother?

If Jeremy is not involved, and he suspects, even in his wildest dreams, that DB had a hand in any way, in BL's disappearance, he is remiss in leaving his son with her. The MEN I know who take care of their families would have sold their house and moved his family out of harms way if his true belief lies on an intruder.

Blaming DCF for not removing the boys from a home which has not been declared negligent seems a bit odd, doesn't it? Maybe it's just me.

WELL, vlpate, you said it well!! Yes, he is remiss, he, in my opinion is a coward.

AND, you are correct, the "MEN" you know would have moved their family out of harm's way a long, long time ago! But, actually, it is his home, not DB's so get rid of her. JI can't have it both ways. He either believes what DB says or notl

Poor Little Lisa, isn't it strange that people that have never seen you, or even knew you, love you so much.

All I can pray for is that you did not suffer....Our Little Angel

It happens ALL the time. I don't understand why it hasn't happened here. Do I find it odd, dam** straight I do.

Yet in many cases, JonBenet Ramsey, Madeline McCann, the children are not removed. I'm not sure if it has to do with good attorneys, being poor, or having a record with child services that makes a difference. Who knows, but yes, I think it's odd.

There are a lot of similarities in the cases. Both the dad's had alibis from night time jobs. And the girlfriends were home with the kids when the daughter goes missing.

But there were a lot of people coming in and out of Haleigh's trailer that night that were very shady people. And a lot of hardcore drug users around the Cummings case. I don't think they have made the drug connection as strongly in the Bradley household.

well I mean none knows whether some people were coming in and out of Lisa´s home....sorry for what I´m going to say but it is what I think it happenned,a lot of kids have disappeared from their beds at home at night, so come on people we are living in 2012,we all have a lot of electronic stuff at home, cell phones,computers,TV´s,nintendos,wee´s,etc....etc....and none has an alarm?,none hears or sees anything? is it that easy for a perp to come in and out with a baby/little kids from these houses? so how the perp knows that there´s a baby/child living there (they all had to watch the houses IMO)and they have no alarm at all, etc,,,etc,,,? IMO kids like Sabrina,Jonbenet,Madeleine,Lisa, and more children I do not remember their names right now, have been murdered by their parents, maybe it was an accident, but to not report it to police is a crime, so they are killers, and they still have other kids living with them,I do apologize for this post, but where all all those children now? they are dead unfortunately! so why Lisa´s mom had a baby if getting drunk is more important that beeing a responsible mother? poor Lisa! There was a case local to the KC Metro area, of a little girl who was placed back into her known abusive home in an attempt to preserve the family and she was murdered soon after. Angel Hart. Laws were changed after her death. However, even with laws being changed, there are still many children left in homes they shouldn't be for a variety of reasons.

Considering the fact not everyone believes DB guilty of anything, I don't think it's a stretch to think that he believes her, considering he knows her better than anyone else here. If it was truly an accident as some have theorized, that's even more of a reason to believe her, since he may think (know) that DB truly loved her daughter and would never harm her or cover up an accident. She's been caring for his boy (and the other children) for some time before BL went missing (3 years?), I think he would know what kind of mother she is and if she is a danger to them. Spouses stand by their SO all the time, even when something is more obvious and proven than this case. Just because they are not married shouldn't mean anything.

If he's not involved.

Thank you so much, Heidi, for your input here! I feel that it is a huge injustice for parents who have truly had their children abducted (like you), for these obviously guilty parents being supported. I can only imagine how much it hurts for you to see parents like this seemingly get away with it while you have searched for most of your life for Dirk. You are a perfect example of how a parent who loses a child through abduction acts.

I agree with you...poor POOR little Lisa.
