I'm a little upset at all the LE letting him off easy for speeding just because of who he is. That and his own family races with him apparently. They all (especially LE) deserve some of the blame for this accident, IMO.
I'd like to see what would happen if I were caught going 123 mph down the highway. (Well, not really.)
My thoughts and prayers for John and his family continue on.

She said Graziano, who suffered a head injury, has been taken off the medication keeping him in an induced coma. The Bolleas brought in their own doctors to evaluate him. She said doctors say Graziano is reacting as expected.
She said they hope Graziano will recover soon. Until then, Bollea is keeping a journal for his friend:
"You've almost been in the hospital for three weeks now," he wrote Thursday. "We've all been praying for you every day."

I agree, Nana. I was just thinking that one of the statemenst the Hogan family made was that John was going to be OK. He should sit in jail for it....but what the heck kind of parents gives a kid a car like that after he's demonstrated several times that he's reckless. I guess that's Hollywood. I wish these people had to live in the real world. The Hogan family should pay for his ENTIRE care for life (Nick should, but if he's a minor, I suppose the family). The Hogan parents deserve to pay as well, IMO. Their stupid little boy destroyed someone's life forever.

PLEASE don't get me wrong I do believe Nick Hogan should be held accountable however John wasn't wearing a seatbelt and he should have known better than to allow himself to be in a vehicle racing as it is reported Nick was doing.
We have boys in our family just starting to drive and who will be driving in the next few years and the message is crystal clear speeding and/or racing will NOT be tolerated. Our sons enjoy a few privileges and have learned over the years we mean business when it comes to rules, going without a few privileges for a significant amount of time isn't fun.
They also know we love them and want them alive and well.

John has lost his life pretty much for his poor judgement and Nick will likely be consoled and told it was just a tragic accident and surely not his fault.

What a sad turn of events. Nick will have to live the rest of his life knowing he was at least partly responsible for what happened to his friend. I don't understand how parents can just write off their children's traffic accidents as rights of passage and give them another vehicle to wreck. Irresponsible.
Unfortunately, I expect the next newspaper article we'll see will be about John's family suing the Hogans.

I'm not offended by your opinion at all...but the driver does have either legal/moral responsibility to make sure his passenger wears a seat belt...even if they're over the age of 14 ( in Florida) and can be ticketed personally. If someone is riding in my car..and I have an accident...my insurance will be paying out...not to mention I care for the safety of passengers. How do we know that John didn't scream "STOP! STOP! You're scaring me!". We don't know that...and guess we never will since he's a vegetable. Legally though, I think the law will prevail and he will be held accountable...at LEAST in a civil suit. I hope John's family drains their accounts. Calikid- I think Nick Hogan lives on the plane of existence where he won't think about this for too much longer. Have you guys read all the celebrity reports where he just doesn't care...you hear him minimizing the accident....etc. He doesn't care! He's 16 and has too much freedom and not enough sense. Sorry this gets me heated...and I'm only 23...but I have never, ever committed such reckless acts...especially with anyone else with me. He should have been alone in the car if he just HAD to race it.

The Hogan parents are enablers....they could have had monitoring equipment installed in that car that alerted them to high speeds, etc. This isn't the first time he's wrecked a high-powered car. They KNEW he was reckless. A lot of other parents are able to control their kids.
You said it nan. IMHO, Hogan's son should never be allowed to drive again.
I'd also like for it to be required of him to visit John every week for the rest of his life.
