LOL, yeah me, I thought that was a cig in Nick's mouth but then I remembered what site I was at. ROFL Eww.
Terry "Hulk" Hogan's 17-year-old son, Nick Bollea, entered a plea of "no contest" in a Florida courtroom Friday on charges of felony reckless driving.
As part of the plea agreement, Bollea's attorneys asked that their client not serve more than one year in county jail and five years of probation.
During the sentencing portion of the hearing, prosecutors presented, among other evidence, the statements of 12 witnesses who claimed Bollea was drag racing on wet roads at the time of the accident as well as records of his being ticketed for speeding in the past.
Ed Graziano, father of John Graziano, then made an emotional statement to the court: "John was my first born son, and the first chance to carry on my family name." Describing the day before the accident, he said John "was healthy, he was safe, and he was strong. He was a hero. He was a United States Marine. He was willing to put his life in harms way to protect his countrys freedom, [but] what Al Queda could not do to my son, Nick did to my son in minutes."
He JUST apologized????:banghead:
That speaks a lot for his character and as to what kind of person he is.
I'm not getting it.
He was drag racing and 12 eye witnesses saw him. His crash totalled his car and more importantly left a young veteran paralyzed. Why a plea deal???
They visited the hospital many times, until the Graziano family bared them. I would bet there have been multiple apologies. OR, the family attorney advised him against it. You never know about the "behind the scenes" situation.
I think the plea deal was to spare the family from a trial and for him to accept responsibility rather than a "not guilty" plea.
Both kids in this situation made a horrible mistake that night. John got in the car, knowing they were racing and didn't use a seat belt. I'm not blaming the victim here, just pointing out some sense of accountability on both parts. I hope that didn't come across harsh to the Graziano family.
That's it...Too bad...He deserved more than 8 months. Did he also get probation and community service?8 months starting now.
They are in court right now, TMZ has a live link at:
