I get the street car cam, but it just stays in one position showing the wind and what looks like wet street with the wind blowing.......darn:doh:Beyond Belief said:thats a down town area i'm looking at, i think. awful lot of cars out. i have seen at least 3 police cars. some are like big white van types, maybe redcross.
my sentiments also...except sardines instead of vienna sausage...seriously, I am not concerned so much for my area, as I am for the Mississippi basin area. There was a documentary called "Hold That River" about how much work it is to hold the Miss. River in place on a "good day." If the storm surge goes up the mouth of the Miss. river, does that mean that the Miss. will jump it's banks, and flood the basin?...mpiDark Knight said:On another message board, some of the New Orleans residents and other posters seem to have kept their sense of humor about it all. Here are some choice posts:

This storm is capable of a lot of flooding; it will all be uncharted sterriotory.Magnum PI said:my sentiments also...except sardines instead of vienna sausage...seriously, I am not concerned so much for my area, as I am for the Mississippi basin area.
