Thank you.
Well I really should have said Mt. Pleasant to be specific but they always just say Charleston because a lot of people don't recognize MP as well as they do Charleston.
I just hope both Jose and Maria doesn't come close to the east coast but I am afraid Maria will.
After work everyday this week my hubby has come in and has been working on all the huge limbs that were down. There was many more than we first thought.
The insurance adjuster came out about our gazebo roof and hubby and friends will erect a new roof. It was wood and shingles before the storm and he is going to put an insulated dark gray metal roof on it this time.
Do we still have any posters who haven't posted since the hurricanes?
Thanks a ton Spell- I worry for our Puerto Rican friend too. Not a good situation.Oh Henry...., I sure hope you don't have to pack your bags and leave us for any time. you have been such a help here. be well, be prepared, and do what you must.
I am concerned about our Puerto Rico friend here .... think about Archangel every day now. Grateful to have this place to keep track of what is happening.
Hurricane Maria is following Irma’s path and getting stronger

Oh, no not again. There are still people cleaning up and without power from Irma. :scared:
And for the first time in 85 years, Puerto Rico is expected to suffer a direct landfall from a Category 4 hurricane.
Puerto Rico's governor has declared a state of emergency ahead of the landfall, which will likely happen Wednesday.
Puerto Rico's governor ordered evacuations Monday ahead of Tuesday's deteriorating conditions. "Our call is for people to evacuate areas that are prone to floods and landslides, in addition to vulnerable structures. It is time to seek refuge with a family member, friend, or move to a state shelter because rescuers will not go out and risk their lives once winds reach 50 miles per hour."
Maria's size means all of Puerto Rico will experience hurricane conditions.

Hurricane Jose has spent more than a week dosey-doeing all alone in the greater Atlantic, but now forecasters say he may have found a dancing partner in Hurricane Maria and that tropical tryst could send one out to sea and one to the coast.
All three models today (GFS, Euro, GEM) forecast a possible occurrence that doesn't occur very often...
Fujiwhara Effect
The*Fujiwhara effect, sometimes referred to as*Fujiwara interaction or binary interaction, is when two nearby cyclonic vortices orbit each other and close the distance between the circulations of their corresponding low-pressure areas.

The forecast indicates that Jose may make a turn South, pick up Maria, and take her out to sea with him. We can only hope....how convoluted.

Now there will be more projectiles and less drainage too...
A bit different. Sandy moved around an*upper-level low*over the eastern United States and also to the southwest of a ridge over*Atlantic Canada, turning it to the northwest. Is this similiar to Sandy when two systems collided ?
Great article and pic...How a Fujiwhara tango might save the Grand Strand from Hurricane Maria
