In Volusia County, Florida, at least 49 beachfront properties, including hotels and condos, have been deemed “unsafe” in the aftermath......

In Wilbur-By-The-Sea – a barrier island community off Daytona Beach – 22 homes were evacuated in advance after officials deemed them unsafe.

Storm surge peaked Thursday morning at around 6 feet, sending rising ocean water to streets. A lower surge also pushed ashore on top of exceptionally high tides associated with this week’s full moon, keeping water levels high longer.

Those are awesome!!! Any ideas on how to keep cats from using them as a litterbox? I want a garden, but my cats even destroyed a raised garden (4' high) with a 2' fence around it.

Cats are repelled by citrusy plants, as well as sage, rosemary and thyme (i.e. 3/4 of the plants in the song "Scarborough Fair"). Search "how to keep cats away from raised beds" and you can't lose.
