This has nothing to do with 'lack of patience.' These criminals stole drugs and guns, were shooting at police and rescue vehicles, ransacked cars and stores, and more. You may think that these people deserve to be rescued. I personally don't. In fact, they probably do not want to be rescued anyway. They are having a field day, right where they are.

One looter described it to reporters as a chance for "oppressed" people to "get back at society."

Who gets to decide what crime was so bad that a person should be left stranded to die or rescued and tried?
I will, I will :D

I swear I even heard one reporter say something to the effect of "But you know, that guy probably never had a decent TV in his whole life." Like that made it all okay.

We, Americans, HAVE to demand better from our country. I was APPALLED that the people on the bridge exit were NOT allowed to leave. There was a check point that would not allow them to leave NO on foot? HELLOOOOO....they passed these people by left and right! It wasn't like they were walking into anything more dangerous than what they were in at the TIME! Shepard Smith said their satellite truck drove in and didn't understand what the problem was with rescuers getting in...and then he sees them driving past (later on)...right past these people. They were RIGHT THERE!!! They needed rescued too. Makes me ashamed!!

I thought that had been disproven long ago. Bush had nothing to do with the bin Laden family and other Saudis leaving the U.S. after 9/11. Here's a link to the real story.
Now, now Ntegrity, let's not go and confuse the situation with such minor observations as the truth! I mean, all the TRUTH does, is show that some commentators, docufictionaries and authors are :liar: :liar: :liar: .

Besides, the TRUTH doesn't make good press. The TRUTH makes it harder to try and demonize a President that has done nothing to deserve such tactics.

Remember, we are talking about a group of people who tried to convince us that Ted Kennedy really was in shock when he left Mary Jo there to die one of the most agonizing deaths imaginable. Then, look at how many were led to be convinced.:loser:

Repeat the lie often enough and one begins to believe it. ;)

The article states that the flights DID take place and that all departing were questioned beforehand:The bin Laden family members were among a number of other Saudi citizens and government officials who left the US on special charter flights because they feared possible reprisals in the emotional aftermath that swept the US in the days after the 9/11 attacks. Neither the FBI nor the 9/11 Commission has found any of the departing Saudis had any links to terrorism:

9/11 Commission (page 330): The FBI interviewed all persons of interest on these flights prior to their departures. They concluded that none of the passengers was connected to the 9/11 attacks and have since found no evidence to change that conclusion.
Our own independent review of the Saudi nationals involved confirms that no one with known links to terrorism departed on these flights .

it also says:Neither President Bush nor any of his immediate aides had anything to do with the decision. Well, I think we all agree that Bush did not cause Katrina, either, its his oversight of the previously known facts / aftermath that's questionable to me. After all, he is the Commander-in-Chief of our nation, the excuse of him "having nothing to do with it/not knowing/being very busy" can only go so far.

Wow. How many ways can Kennedy be brought into the discussion about Bush's handling of national disasters?

The POINT is that they did NOT get any special treatment. They left AFTER it was okay to travel via air.
NO WHERE is it stated that anyone besides the SAUDIs themselves paid for the charter flights.
Geeze, poor people knew they were in danger and wanted out. When they were allowed to leave, they left.

What on earth do the Saudis have to do with Katrina? Yet, you want to wonder why I bring up Kennedy? I bring up Kennedy because he murdered someone with his own hands and still gets re-elected to the Senate. Mighty telling. Mighty telling.

Or twist it just enough to suit one's purpose. IMO (and most others that I know), Ted Kennedy got away with murder.

What does Ted Kennedys actions 40 years ago have to do with this? He isnt President, has never been President and will never be President. Who cares?

I am so angry that Homeland Security blocked the Red Cross from feeding people, delivering medicine and food to Hospitals and setting up any form of relief within New Orleans to sustain life untill evacuations could be organized. Since when is the Red Cross not allowed to enter a disaster area to offer life saving services?

http://www.redcross.org/faq/0,1096,...24,00.html#4524

Hurricane Katrina: Why is the Red Cross not in New Orleans?

Acess to New Orleans is controlled by the National Guard and local authorities and while we are in constant contact with them, we simply cannot enter New Orleans against their orders.

The state Homeland Security Department had requested--and continues to request--that the American Red Cross not come back into New Orleans following the hurricane. Our presence would keep people from evacuating and encourage others to come into the city.

Maybe if we put up signs saying "IRAQ 11" they will let them in,put up tents, airlift food and water, medical supplies, and guard the people. I do not want to hear about the poor people in Iraq~Afghanistan again. I have had it!!! My people in my Country come first. We are paying the tax dollars. If Bush wants to support those fighting animals let him pay for it out of his own oil~excuse I mean pocket!!

TyBee,I couldn't get in with webtv to post, hope you dont mind my using yours to enter..Take care.-

P.S. I want our brave servicemen sent home to take care of their own.I am sure they would say yes to this if put to a vote..God Bless each and everyone of them......
