GUILTY IA - Amy Mullis , 39, Earlville, killed with corn rake, 10 Nov 2018 *Arrest*

  • #161
Something just popped-up in my mind when the prosecutor was asking Todd about the internet searches.

Did the son do the searches and he killed his mother???? He knew about his mother's infidelities and was mad, so he did the searches? Hmmm.

He didn't go to the get the drink. Instead he went to the shed and killed his mother because he was very angry at her?

I don't remember how they cleared the son of the murder.

Crazy thoughts...

Todd still sounds innocent to me. He's still very calm. Oh, I don't know.:(

I've thought this from the second day.

Like you said, crazy thoughts........

#MullisTrial When asked if he had performed various internet searches, including “killing unfaithful women,” and “punishment is 18 months for killing cheating wife,” Mullis said he did not.

@ashleyrenesc Mullis said that even on the day she died, he did not believe that Amy was cheating on him at that time #MullisTrial

#ToddMullis - Prosecutor is playing the 911 call and saying that Mullis whispers, "Go to hell you cheating 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬". Mullis denies that's what he said.

@ashleyrenesc The state asks that on November 10, "You did not have one worry that she was cheating?" Mullis said "No" #MullisTrial

@ashleyrenesc The state plays 9.1.1. audio. In the audio clipping, the state says that it sounds like Mullis calls his wife a "🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬" and a "cheating 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬" while giving her C.P.R. He denies hearing it. The state says "You did not hear 'Go to hell cheating 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬?'" #MullisTrial

If the prosecution really thought he said go to hell you dirty 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 wouldnt they enhance the audio and have a speech expert testify to that?

Interesting technique however as people will typically hear what they are told to listen for. Im curious how that resonated with the jury

He's calm because he's a sociopath and has no feelings. It's all a show. The guy admitted she was murdered but doesn't know how or who did it? It was either him or his son. The forensic pathologist gave pretty clear evidence that she was murdered, the cameras on the farm we coincidentally not working during the murder, and most of those creepy google searches were at ~3 AM. He claims the pornhub searches were to spice up the bedroom, but if you look at the search history it goes from looking at silencers for guns (which aren't legal for hunting in Iowa) to searching for porn at 3 AM, he's sick.

If you think he isn't guilty, I'm not sure who you think did it, because it obviously wasn't an accident.

I've been thinking about this as well. Son sees dad doing his best to make mom happy and mom is doing her best to wreck the family. Son goes to get a drink, hears mom talking to the boy friend on her cell and he loses it.

Did Amy have a burner phone? Did son get rid of it after impaling mom?

Any bruises/ cuts on the sons hands? No one looked did they?

Not at 3am, investigators were either to stupid to realize that UTC is NOT central time or they intentionally tried to mislead the jury

Perhaps son was searching the DNA questions wondering if with moms history maybe Todd is not his dad

I agree it was not an accident. So if the jury believes the forensic pathologist that the manner of death was homicide... I just don't know where they go from there. I think he is guilty but it was a lousy case put on by the prosecution. JMO

There is a lot more I would like to know about those sharp force injuries. Is the autopsy available as FOI request in Iowa?

  • #174
Is it totally implausible that she fell, pulled the rake out (stuck by two tines initially) stood up, lost more blood and then collapsed back onto the rake?

I know it is far fetched but is it possible?

How far was the pet cage from where she was found?

I clearly heard him whisper "cheating 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬", then "go to hell cheating 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬".

He has no emotion. Sociopath?

Sorry, just realized what I was stating you said in your original post.

My bad for not reading your full post. I apologize

Did you hear it before the prosecutor said what to listen for?

He doesn't know technology he claims.
He probably thought 911 wouldn't hear his whisper because of his heavy breathing.
Sick ass sociopath!
