her husband has owned his own construction firm since 1998, not sure if he was/is affiliated with the company AO worked for at the time of her murder, or if he ever knew her, seems KR has lived her life post the murders in the same home pre the murders which she and her husband built, she still works within real estate and pictures from the article I posted above show a seemingly happy family life,I'm not sure where the line is with the questions I want to ask, but does anyone know if this suspect's husband was also in the same professional orbit as these two?
Have not caught up yet on this case, but just so everyone knows, the current suspect/KR, is not the person who called 911 on the day Ashley was killed; that caller was WF.This woman I believe was working for the developer of that building/units at the time. Might not be the one who called police but someone from her employment called 911 after hearing gunshots the day Ashley was shot.
Just a wild guess here (since I have zero ",insider" information): Over the last year or so, the current Iowa governor has stated that, in order to be good stewards of taxpayers' money, efforts would be directed toward uncovering any misuse of funds...specifically of fraudulent activity. The State Auditor has already caught numerous individuals (some who have served -- yes, past tense -- in positions of financial trust).Yes, and I think she also worked for Rottlund Homes or lived there (that is where this Kristin "Krissy" worked at the time), Rottlund went belly up in 2011. I wonder if there was some sort of jealousy motive like I had suspected...maybe a younger, more attractive female pushed her over the edge? The details will be interesting tomorrow.
I'm adding a link to this new info. I am absolutely shocked LE had this info early on yet she remained free.for 15 years.Very interesting news released today....I wonder why she was not arrested early on and how the case went "cold"
New court documents released Thursday detail witness accounts of the events surrounding Ashley Okland's killing in 2011, marking the first time this information has been made public. The documents state that a witness who lived next to the townhome heard two loud noises and then saw Ramsey outside the front door of the townhome. The witness reportedly looked out a second-story window and saw Ramsey pacing by her vehicle and on her phone.
According to the court filing, Ramsey called another Rottlund Homes employee but did not call 911. Court records show Okland was shot at close range -- once in the chest and once in the face.
Prosecutors say Ramsey has been interviewed multiple times over the course of this investigation and has provided conflicting versions of her whereabouts that day. The witness then saw Ramsey "back up at a high rate of speed in an erratic manner and leave the area," according to court documents.
Court records show a search warrant was executed on May 3, 2011, when law enforcement officials discovered several items of concern, including multiple firearms, illegal substances and posters threatening violence.
A second search warrant was executed at the defendant's home this spring when law enforcement officials found multiple firearms, illegal substances and some of the same posters threatening violence.
