Somehow I have missed this story, so I apologize if this question has already been asked and answered, but were all the livestock still with the truck when it was found?
Yes, all the baby pork chops were left in the trailer sitting in the middle of the road.

Many on Facebook share concerns about foul play. Last week, Sarah Shultz posted to a cattle trucking group on Facebook about a suspicious incident that another trucker had shared with her.

“He was in the same vicinity as your husband,” shared the trucker. A carload of people began pointing at his truck as if to tell him something was wrong with the vehicle. “He, of course, ignored them. They pulled in front of his semi and were brake-checking him to get him to stop.”

According to Sarah Shultz’s post, the driver ignored them and called 9-1-1 to report the incident.

“When the car stopped again, he rammed their car, sending them into the median,” she wrote on Facebook that the driver conveyed to her.

After hitting the other car, dispatch told him not to stop and that the police would respond.

I guess I misinterpreted the term "livestock"? To me this means living animals, not processed meats like pork chops, etc. Family holding on to hope that Iowa trucker David Schultz, who was last seen in November, will be found safe "On November 20, 2023, between 10:30 and 11 p.m., David picked up a load of pigs from a hog site in Eagle Grove, Iowa. He was supposed to deliver the livestock back to Sac County that night"

They were living animals. Piglets. (Baby Pigs. Young pigs. Baby Pork Chops.)

The piglets were collected from Eagle Grove but were never unloaded at Weikman's, they were still in the trailer when the truck was located.

If it was posted on Facebook it must be true…

Sounds made up, just like all the zip ties on cars hoaxes. I'll believe it when it's covered by a reputable news source and not just some chain letter conspiracy shared over and over on FB

If anything this just shows that there's no reason to get out of big rig for another motorist and no way David would have done it...

That all depends. If there was a women standing outside of a car parked on the exit with the flashers on in the wee hours of the morning, would substantially increase the reasons someone might pull over and get out to help.

More specifically, that's Dateline and NBC reporting that Sarah told them she read it on some facebook group.

I read the same thing on her Facebook when she posted it. It sounds like a chain-type urban myth, complete and total BS. All second or third hand information, no specifics, no names.

I don’t really know how to put this without sounding rude, but it is certainly not my intention. I get the feeling that SS is naive of this world. I go back and forth on what happened to David, but I have a feeling if he was involved in something shady she would be completely clueless about it.

Naive would not be a description I would use for her ... though I do agree, a husband can hide things from his wife.

IMO the majority of people could probably be described as "naive." There's nothing wrong with that. If a naive person is victimized, they were still 100% victimized and deserve support and justice.

Of course she deserves justice. Whatever happened here is awful for her and the children. I just wish someone could advise her to lay off the psychics and social media urban myths, and especially to stop posting so much about her personal goings-on. She could be further victimized.

Especially if she feigned injury or having been attacked. Torn clothing, hair in disarray, frantically stumbling around.
But Ole Ish; in the day, would have surveyed the scene a minute or two for motion in the car, then got out with a pistol in my hand. Shoot her if weapon appeared or whoever come out of the car. Scene would change swiftly when she saw the ploy was busted. Not clear if DM carried in the truck or not.

It seems there has been some confusion over what type of pigs. SS has said in (as I recall) comments on her Facebook that they were actually sows, not piglets. I don’t think that’s a material distinction to this case, though.

Agree, these things do not happen. I see it alot in missing person's cases where they drive a distance, people think mad max vehicles pop out of nowhere and take over cars like pirates. That doesnt happen.

Now when a person is out of their car, thats more vulnerable
