I think that FB pic is from a teen TV show or something of that nature. Let me check the source code and see if I can find the title of the photo.
That's a photo of Victoria Justice.

Are you saying Lyric's fb photo (of drinking a milkshake) is not of herself? I compared it to the missing person photo and thought it was a match other than the different hair.

I saw a twitter account for Lyric as well

Do you work in law enforcement? I was under the impression that checking for prints would be standard procedure. Especially since there are a lot of people who think they were abducted.

I don't. I think checking for prints is standard when there is an identifiable crime scene. At this point, it's difficult to say if there even is a crime scene, as police have not yet determined that there was a crime. If there was a crime at the fence, I don't think that it would be a good use of police resources to check 100+ feet of fence for fingerprints. What would it prove? If any prints could be matched to the girls, it would prove that they touched the fence - it would not indicate anything more. If any prints were unidentifiable, it would require many resources to match the prints and still, it would not conclusively lead to any factual information related to the girls.

I dragged her fb profile pic into google images and it says it is Selena Gomez. I am still not sure.

The picture is actually Selena Gomez, Justin Beiber's girlfriend and child actor herself. Lyric listed Justin as a favourite.

MOO

Guys, if you're going to say you found something, we need LINKS, please. :)

Are we allowed to post her Facebook page? I wasn't sure. You can't post her profile on Zoosk. You have to be registered to see it. It's under Lyric Morrissey, just like her FB.

Because she is a victim, and potential clues can be gathered from her Facebook, yes, it can be linked. HOWEVER, information about and/or pages of any other minors may NOT be linked to or referred to. And her family may not be sleuthed from her page.

Another good thing to remember is...if you can't link it, you can't talk about it. And if you're not sure, you can always ask a mod. :) We're here to help.

Social Networks - Rules Etiquette & Information - Websleuths Crime Sleuthing Community

Regarding Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, and other social networking or blog websites: Links may be used to direct posters to view something on a social networking page. But postings on social networking sites are not considered fact; they are rumor. Copying and pasting, or taking screen caps, directly from these pages is not allowed. Paraphrasing is okay. (Exception: If the Twitter or Facebook post belongs to a verified news station, it may be copied. But a link should still be provided.)

Also, social networking pages may only be linked if they are directly related to a case, i.e. the victim or suspect. We don't want to post to someone's mother, brother, employer, milkman, or postal carrier just because they know the main player. We also NEVER link to minor's pages (unless they are the victim). And be sure that the page actually belongs to the person being discussed. Do not link to someone if you are not 100% sure it is the correct person. And if a social networking is set to private and you get in the back way, you may not post what you find. Private means private!

The girls' grandmother last saw them at 12 :15 p.m. in the area behind the clothing store. A person called the tip line and stated that he or she saw the girls' bicycles laying on the ground by the lake at 12 :27 p.m. This person did not see the girls, just their bikes.

If the girls biked out to the lake area, and it took them maybe 10 minutes or so, then something happened to them almost right away.

I doubt that they went swimming...where are their shoes ?

If they decided to go swimming, they probably kept their shoes on because the deep, silty mud is usually a highly unpleasant experience. Plus the risk of fish hooks. If they went swimming, they probably planned to hose their shoes off at home.

At least, that's what I did as an adventurous Iowa kid.

Sadly, this summer has been a bad year for drownings because we had a horrid heatwave. The temps last Friday were down to the normal mid-80s but it was still humid.

I'm wondering if the purse/phone were thrown over the fence towards the water. That would explain why investigators are interested in water searches. If the water is 4' deep and the youngest is 4' tall, drowning is a very real possibility.

A big problem in those sorts of lakes in Iowa is that the bottom is often silty much. Even a shallow lake can have sudden dips in the bottom. A wide dip might only be 12 inches deep but that would be over the heads of both girls.

However, we're having a drought year this year; does anyone know if the lake was at the usual level?

She never Tweeted but is following people and is being followed and has an e-mail address under her name no need to tweet when you can e mail..

I searched on Google News and the case has been picked up by 970 news sources including ABC News, Fox News, The Daily Mail, The Washington Post, and the New York Daily News. I would be surprised if the case isn't on Nancy Grace tomorrow, although I hope they'll be found before then so it won't be necessary.

I don't see the same pic as on fb either and I don't see an email address. I see a link under the comment about needing a date and when I click no that it is not found. If I google that I get dating sites.
