Except that it IS possible that someone saw the bikes lying in the middle of the path and leaned them against the fence, so they wouldn't be a hazard. This is something I would do (I'm a mom, obviously and do all sorts of stuff like this)

Very possible. And, just because we don't know about such a person doesn't mean much. They may have contacted LE with the info and asked not to be identified publicly. (Just brainstorming.)

I get that, but the chances of that random stalker guy being successful in being able to abduct those two girls (sitting and watching at the EXACT time the opportunity arose -- the first day Lyric was there since her mom just started working, at the time Heather had an appointment, and the girls ventured out too far alone) has to be so ridiculously minute, statistically speaking.

It is much more PROBABLE that someone who KNEW the schedules is the perp.

Do you have a link for that info? Because I was sure I had read that WC and Lyric had been going to the Collinses' home regularly for the past few weeks and frequently even before then.

Was there only one video that could be the one that was subpeoned? I thought there were multiple ones and no confirmation of exactly which one LE were seeking.

I agree that she sounds professional. She is very articulate and not camera shy. Total contrast to TB.

Someone on another site posted a link to a video from KWWL from the same time of the subpeoned video. The person had posted the link before the subpeone came out. The person quoted a statement from someone in the video that was odd. I clicked on the link to the video and it has been taken down from KWWL. It was from a video that I had not seen and I knew that because the statement that was supposedly made on the video was one that I would have remembered hearing. Made me wonder if they were taking down multiple videos from the date of the subpeoned video or just that one.

Curious what the statement that was quoted was? Can you share?

If it was me i would rat all the drug houses out that i knew if i thought my kids were there. JMO keeping my mouth shut wouldn't get my kid home IMO

I would do the same...but we're dealing with different dynamics here!

I am not sure I ever read when Lyric started going to the Collins' house. Misty started her job just 5 days before all of this happened and prior to that Misty said they were going swimming almost everyday for 5 weeks. And prior to that Misty was serving out her sentence for violating parole.

That is an excellent question! At one point Grandma and Misty were standing in the front yard at the Collin's home and Heather drove up. She was not able to find them after looking for about 45 mins and said she was going to the PD. I believe she involved LE at 2:45. Tammy, Grandma, and E's brother were also at the lake at 2:45. LE showed up at 3. Why did the police go to the lake so quickly? And why did it take them almost an hour to find those bikes on the path? Does not make sense!

ETA: Maybe Aunt Tammy called Heather on her cell and said we are at the lake and someone here just said he saw them riding their bikes around 2:30. If that is the case though - then Heather might have said to the LE - never mind, I think we may have found them. Hmmm.

so is it SOP for police to go to a place that at that point nobody knew were the bikes were since they were not found until 3:58. Does it take 58 minutes to walk around the lake?

It only takes 15 minutes to file a missing persons report?

Who got there first, Police or the volunteer fire fighters?

Why was EVERYONE so confident that the girls there (or at least their bikes)

Could "random stranger" be the exact opposite?

I feel like there is nothing to say here...we know so little and are hearing even less from LE. I can't help but worry that this case will slip away, just as so many others have done after the initial flurry of activity for a few weeks.

this sounds just as reasonable ... you could be right. this case is testing my sanity... its mickey shunick part 2...

eta: just before mickey shunick went missing i was thinking about getting a bike... needless to say i havent bought one yet...

:what: I know. My hubby is an avid bike rider.

I warned him that I do not want him to be the next attractive blonde biker who is a victim of a bump & grab.

He said, "Hon, I'm 64,,,,,and 50 pounds overweight."

But he's still an attractive blonde to me.

I thought I read that she started at Casey's on the 12th. Of course, now I can't find it.

I have only seen the one, but I was also under the impression that there might be more. If you go here: http://www.kwwl.com/story/19066921/family-of-missing-girls-gets-attorney to your left is a section called featured videos. The link directly under the heading titled "Interview with Lyric's mother Misty Morrisey" is the same video previously titled "subpoened video". They have changed the title, but it is the same video. This is the only one I have seen that was confirmed to be subpoened.

Sad isn't it?

Sure hope this thread can stay civil tonight. Had to leave last night and again this afternoon--too many people 'snarking'. We're all here to find the girls. No reason to get all defensive and belligerent when people don't agree with your theory. As a poster said earlier, we are all guessing at this point. It's not a contest.

MOO--------of course. And not directed at anyone in particular.

IIRC--LE wants video(s) from 19th and/or 20th and the station said there was only one video.

Abben said the when he arrived at the lake the bikes were leaning up against the fence in a press conference.

I heard that in a pc also. I believe he was refering to the fireman or police officer that found the bikes at 3 or 4. I believe the jogger/biker that found the bikes earlier said they were laying on the ground because he had to go around them on the path.

I kind poster posted the audio of Abben's saying he saw the bikes against the fence when he arrived. Maybe a page or two back.

Don't you all thing LE should tell the public something by now? Anything! Or is LE going to let this case slip away as a cold case? I know LE is doing great but do they still have the same numbers of officers on the case? I wish they would tell the public something anything!
