Just catching up here. I have been reading from the beginning but not posting. It is so sad that these two beautiful little girls are still missing. Surely they can't dissapear from the face of the earth without someone having seen something. Praying and hoping that they will be found soon and wishing there was more I could do to help! :please:

Grandma and E's brother searched first from 12:30 to 1:30.

Heather apparently searched for about 45 minutes and then went to PD at 2:45

Grandma, Tammy, and E's brother went to Meyer's Lake at 2:45 - the man told Tammy he saw the girls at about 2:30

LE arrived at the lake at 3.

Bike found by firefighter at 3:58.

I wonder if anyone else, like Grama or big brother, actually saw and heard that witness say he had seen the girls.

If he said he had just seen them 15 minutes ago, I am surprised the three of them did not spread out and start calling their names and going all the way around the lake.

LE has not given this witness sighting any credibility, it seems. I wonder why not.

I thought they said the brother waited in the car.

Ok, it's possible I'm just being really dumb here, but, IF they were in the lake, how would they have gotten out?!

do you mean if they were not alive? if they are still in the lake - how were they missed when it was dredged and drained?

i think they are still close - in someones house or camper ... remember the guy that put that family in the tree - that keeps going 'round in my mind too...

I think it was just Abben misspeaking at a pc when he said "I don't know if they are still in the lake". I think he meant to say I don't think they are in the lake.

this witness is key in my opinion... and i agree that i would think they would have went in whatever direction that guy said the girls went...wouldnt le go that way too if there really was a guy who saw/said that?

i hope, cause i dont like the word "still" in the lake...which could imply that le was certain that the girls had been in the lake at some point? no?

Anyone know the link to all the pressers?

Maybe he meant to say "I still don't know if they're in the lake".

I believe its from a presser on the 19th which is before the FBI dive team made the last search of the lake. So, at that point, LE thought there was still a possibility they were in the lake. MOO

ETA: I think we're over analyzing his statement.

I meant any of the fathers or uncles.
Just thought it odd because I know my husband would have been out that door in a second.

I thought it seemed odd that Drew stayed with the kids while his sick wife searched, but it was probably less stressful for her to feel like she was doing something than it would have been just sitting there having no idea what was going on. I don't believe Dan has a car. I seem to remember that he called his mother, who came home and brought him down there. I could be wrong, I only remember hearing/reading it the first night, and my memory isn't great these days.

Yeah, I have never been able to understand why it took 58+ minutes to find the bikes. If LE was on scene at 3 - what were they doing that whole time?

Olli explained that the family probably did not walk around the lake because they could basically stand right there at the parking lot and see all the way around the lake - except for, of course, the spot the bikes were later found. But if it were me, and someone told me he just saw them 15 mins prior - I think I would walk around - Grandma and kid one way and Aunt the other way. Even LE it seems should have seen the bikes sooner if they really got there at 3.

"I don't know if they are still in the lake".

ETA: Abben / press conference 7/19 - I think he just misspoke. I think he meant to say I don't think they are in the lake.

I listened to the 07/19 presser by KWWL again. Misty is responding to the question of why they (she and Dan) got an attorney. She said nothing like "I don't know if they are still in the lake." She did say they were "pretty devastated" and they are hoping "they will expand the search beyond Cedar Valley."

So who was with the other kids from 1230 to 130?

Ok hold on people.... this is getting misunderstood. Mother Ocean mentioned the thing about the video subpoenaed and the words "I don't know if they are still in the lake" in post #411. I remembered hearing those words before and went to google to look for it. Those words showed up on WS and it was from the presser. Abben said it in a press conference, but I think he just misspoke.

It is not in the video from KWWL of Misty and Grandma.
