No. It is based on her opinion only.

She didn't say if LE called her back, but, the day she saw him and then came here to tell us of her experience, she was pretty sure he was the one in the white van at Meyers lake... (not trying to answer for her - just reiterating what she said that day).

Was the picture she posted taken at Meyers Lake? tia

Thanks to all for clarifying, it just seemed to be stated as fact and I was afraid I'd missed her getting it verified.

Yes it was.

Just an observation, but it appears there are several cars there. For some reason I thought it was relatively private and not crowded. Seems if the girls were taken from there someone would have seen it. jmo

At this point I'm going to trust LE has the info, and I'll not worry about this anymore. It strikes me how 'trusting' we are here - I think back to the classic New Yorker cartoon "On the Internet no one knows if you are a dog."

Cindersoot, do remember how you did your avatar? Do it the same way and see if that works. Use the "preview post" first when experimenting. I do...and then hit the back button if it fails and start over. Then when you have figured it out, hit the submit. Good luck, I'm not a puter savvy either, so your not alone.

I really don't know how private it is, I'm sure some of the locals could answer that better than me. It's been said where the bikes were found was private.

Hopefully someone who knows will answer your question.

It took me awhile to find this video again. Thought I'd share it here. I had mentioned it before but didn't have the link handy. Seems relevent again now as we are talking about RSOs. LE sure cleared those 200+ RSOs very quickly. This video also addresses the effects that meth can have on users.

Or if you drive a van!

I would say 1, it's a picture after the fact, so who knows how much the activity at the lake has spiked since the girls have disappeared, and 2. it's been a hot summer in Iowa. If they have swimming and paddleboating there, I imagine it hasn't been desolate this summer.

Exactly! They had to have had a meeting set up, Internet predator, someone they met before? Then were lured to private spot and vanished...

Hard to say; there are many unsolved cases right now where the family has not been cleared, and some cases where family is considered the focus, i.e. Ayla. Yet remain unsolved.

Keep in mind her photo was taken after the 13th. It was her first trip there, and I suspect the same is true for many, if not all, the other cars parked there. IIRC one of the locals said earlier that the number of cars parking there afterwards is much higher than they were accustomed to seeing.

That's true and the only pictures I have seen of the area are the google maps. And of course they are not going to show people. It was that image that was stuck in my mind. ty

Today, Friday, marks 3 weeks since the girls were abducted......last seen.
Praying they're found today.

Thanks, I saw that and deleted my post.

**About the "crowd" at the park. I believe the lake has gained new interest since the girl's have been missing and the reason for all the people. Locals have stated it was not that busy/crowded beforehand.

Can anyone give me a theory as to why a person who abducted two children three weeks ago would be driving around town, walking on a trail, attempting to abduct more kids, etc.? It seems more likely that this person would be staying out of the public eye. Do you think the person is just curious?

If it is him, being an RSO probably near kids where he shouldn't, will he show up as arrested somewhere?

Breach probation=straight back inside.
