I am in Texas, so I'm not familiar with Evansdale except for what I've read here at WS. I am frustrated that there seems to be such an epidemic of perverts trying to lure or snatch children in Iowa the past few months. I wish that sex offenders were not ever allowed to plead down or remain free even when they violate probation. They get away with so much of what they do!

it's not my back, TGIR i am an ex-iowan living in india. a couple of days ago i was on a scooter on the highway and was hit by a car. thankfully no broken bones, but major soft tissue injury to my knee / leg so the ortho has me on strict bedrest with my leg elevated for two weeks. lots of time to surf the net and pray for elizabeth and lyric! thanks for asking!

our winters are similar to a hot iowa summer. summers are horrible. the humidity is worse than the heat though! if it ever gets down to 70 degrees here, we are bundled up and freezing!

I had 2 weird experiences in the past. My son is 31 now. When he was about 8, I took him to a large water park for the day in NJ. He was at the age where he was too old for me to take him into the ladies room. He went to the mens room. I stood right outside the door. He shouted from inside to me; "MOM are you there?" Yes I shouted back. Someone approached him inside, offered him candy. We IMMEDIATELY went to security to report it.

This was way before internet etc........ They kind off blew me off. Till this day, I wonder if any other kids were approached that day.

Another time on a crowded beach, there was a perv. Clearly a perv being lewd and disgusting, I won't describe it. I IMMEDIATELY went to life guards to report it. They blew me off.

I wonder how often these things get reported and ignored. :banghead:

Adding: What really freaked me out about this perv, was that everyone was oblivious. Completely oblivious. Laying around in swimsuits with kids everywhere. One of the most disgusting things I've ever seen. :tears:
