Is there a cell phone tower near the lake? I was just wondering if they would be able to see cellphones signals near the lake at the time the girls went missing and trace them.

I realise that this has probably been done and the perp(s) may not have had a cellphone on them at the time.

It is extremely sad that there is virtually no news now and it seems the case is going cold already. I am sorry to be negative about things.

hopefully there will be some news soon.

I don't believe it has gone cold. Have a good weekend!

They should get a search warrant for the cell phone tower nearest to this location to get all of the "users' " telephone numbers that pinged on the tower the day the girls went missing. This has been done with success in northern NY.

It is hard to imagine a double abduction like this by a single perp. The children at this age can put up a good fight.

I am sure the authorities are working hard on the case and wish the best for the family

A double abduction could be accomplished easily if these little girls thought the person was an authority figure. Maybe look like an officer and order them into a vehicle while accusing them of doing something like trespassing. Just a thought, kids are gullible and obey adults.

Would be interesting to know what other vehicles the auction business video was able to pick up. According to JP, it sounded like LE had many hours to review. IMO

Also, knowing their parents/grandma by name, but really not knowing them at all!

Do people fish down in that area?

There would be fresh fingerprints on the bikes if they had been touched, wouldn't there?

What the Flying HolyCow is that???

edit - same phone number and address, but instead of "Candy Land" this time it's called "Memories on Maiden Lane"
http://bars-and-pubs.cmac.ws/memories/11210/

This is MESSED UP.

Candy Land says "Bar/Pub" and Memories says "Cocktail Lounge"..

Edit 2 - this one for same phone and address calls it "Kandy Labs" http://ia.idoget.biz/kandy_labs-91658

and btw CandyLand on Maiden Lane has a FB page, not sure if I can link it.. its not like it's a person, or even a real business??
https://www.facebook.com/pages/Candy-Land/119919178024055

sorry about that, I deleted my post because initially I thought it was a candy store in the 'hood, (have one here) but see that it goes in circles as you have shown in your links, strange!

Is this quite easy for law enforcement to do? I don't know anything about it but I would imagine some people would want to protect their privacy.

I notice there is a pig/hog type farm in the Waterloo area. What better place to dispose of a body.

JP's words at the end of the article don't sound like there is much to be revealed on the tapes even tho LE spent much time going over them.

He hopes the release of the video spreads the word about the girls’ disappearance and strengthens the community support.

“It won’t lead to any kind of a conviction or anything like that,” Pahl said. “Will it help? Maybe. If it keeps people from forgetting to look for these girls, then great.”

I guess. If you were going to go through the trouble of 'staging' bikes, wouldn't you wear gloves?
We haven't heard anything re; tests on the bikes yet, I don't think. Too bad.

Oh my, we are slipping further down the missing page. It's sad but it happens when there's nothing in the news.
