Maybe its time we start checking out what's going on in Minnesota and see if there have been any sort of abduction attempts in that state close to the Iowa boarder or any other neighboring states. We're all keeping a close eye on things in my state.

You know what thats a VERY good idea! And on another issue with the missing RSO's the guy i was looking at in Iowa, offended in colorado also & listed as missing unknown in minnesota on the Iowa RSO site while i worked with him in Des Moines Iowa!

If they want a sketch artist I'm damn good at it but I'm not willing to step foot in Iowa to do it. One of my hobbies is drawing portraits. I think if they showed those young people that were encountered the RSO list they just might be surprised of who might be ID'd. There's a young guy at work I'm checking out right now that looks like one of the RSO and if it turns out to be him I'll be letting my son know about it and he'll report him for me.

I wish my son was here right now because he has all the lists to all the LE websites or knows at least where to look for them for our area. I was shocked the first time he brought up all the lists of RSO for this area and how many lived around here. It tells you everything about their offenses and they've got them in some sort of category here, but it tells you where they live.

Ok so tonight I decided to come on here because I had not read much lately and I too watched Jv tonight. So I went back on here and I went clear back and didnt find what I was hoping someone could of answered my question so if it is somewhere on this thread i could find it, but this really caught my mind questioning. Its about the video surveillance.

"Officials say they need more information from the public about what to look for in the hours of surveillance footage they have collected."

Can someone answer me, what does that even mean????? I dont know LE you tell us. We cant see the surveillance footage. You tell us what we are supose to be looking for. This statement confuses me.

I was berated for my opinion that instinct plays a part in investigations, and told in no uncertain terms that I was incorrect about this.

I note that LE have actually specifically asked people to NOT ignore their instincts on this one.

It seems pretty obvious to me what LE has been thinking all along. Not sure they are right though, and I hope precious time has not been lost by myopic thinking.

Also, it was pretty painful to hear Gma defend the family by saying all of the drug-related problems happened years ago...JVM jumped her case...Ouch.

“It is almost certain that the person or persons involved in this abduction used a vehicle to arrive and depart from the area, and it is believed that surveillance video is likely to have recorded that vehicle,” Charis Paulson, assistant director of the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation wrote in an email to law enforcement officials and state employees.

“Regardless of whether the person(s) responsible for taking Elizabeth and Lyric reside, work, or have acquaintances in the area, or possibly came to the area to commit a crime, it is virtually impossible for any person to live, travel, or exist in a vacuum,” Paulson wrote. “Someone knows something that might be valuable to law enforcement.”

Officials continue to follow up on a large number of leads, including watching hours of surveillance footage collected from businesses, homes and elsewhere in Evansdale, according to Paulson’s email.

Until then I'm seriously begging (not you in personal, just generally and jumping off your post), please leave the witnesses even if possible POI alone. Trust LE to do their jobs. I told my husband about the latest updates tonight and his immediate answer was that he hoped the girls were ok, was sad they hadn't been found yet, followed by "and you wonder why I can't go to the park and eat my lunch?" I pack his lunch to save money usually. I don't even want to get into detail in case someone sees it online and thinks "his wife [me] bought Chapstick a week ago, and she bought TOILET PAPER!!! a week later, s/he MUST be guilty of something!"

We live 100s or maybe 1000s of miles away from these girls and I'd be super surprised if we saw them but I still look just to be sure. I'd be scared as heck to come forward to anyone but LE, with an agreement it'd stay private, after seeing what's happened to others who've come forward.

At Thursday’s vigil, T-shirts supporting the search for the girls will be available. Religious readings will be conducted and the public is invited to bring candles for the observance. Music will be provided by Michael Pauling. Children will have an opportunity to make letters or pictures to share in support of the missing girls.
