As a parent, I'd think that would be unbearable to find out. If they were alive until yesterday, where were they all this time? How were they not found? 5 months? So close to home? Unfathomable. :(

Oh it would be horrible. I pray that wasn't the case.

I'm thinking of the 110 house swoop.

Maybe it caused the girl's death, inadvertently...made the perp panic and kill them.

Oh no. Just when you think it can't get any more tragic...

Please let that not be true.

Lieberman said he was told the bodies were visually identifiable and had not been out in the elements for 4-5months.
Perhaps the killer kept the bodies in a freezer, then when hunting season started, he needed the space?

I really hope these children were not kept alive and tortured for 4-5 months then killed. Whatever happened, I hope it was over quickly and if they were indeed intact, they were stored somewhere that allowed them to not decompose as quickly.

This just makes me sick. I was really thinking, kidnapped driven to seven bridges, killed. Done.

The thought of them being held alive more than an hour makes me ill. The thought of someone keeping them in a freezer for months makes me wonder. ugh

This is so unfair, these poor families, they do not deserve this.

From the pics of LE searching this morning on twitter it made me think the perp or perps killed the girls before 7 bridges. If perp lied to girls to get them into vehicle the girls probably realized they were not being taken where they were told and began to question and panic. The cornfields were not harvested at that time and he would have had cover not far from the road. Ugh! So frustrating!

I wonder if identifying someone's clothing counts as visually identifiable.

Or how reliable the reporting there is. I'm going to be skeptical of this until LE says it officially.

That is how I feel, too. This reporter gets a little hysterical on Nancy Grace's show at times. A little sensational, IMO.

I followed a case a while ago on here. The Kayleah Wilson case and when her body was found the FBI released a list of things to look for in the perp. I thought it might be helpful to share them on this case. Different cases but the behavior changes would be similar.

The two I bolded are in my opinion very important. The perp would of acted differently the day they went missing and now that they have been found is probably acting different.

Behavioral Changes

FBI Agent-In-Charge James Davis released a list of behavioral changes in a person that might point to someone involved in Kayleah's disappearance.

Among those possible changes that might re-manifest themselves now that the body has been found:

Coming up with an excuse to leave the area unexpectedly for what may sound like a good reason. (work-related, visiting relatives)
Missing work, calling in sick, asking to change shifts, particularly on days close to the night Kayleah disappeared or after the body was discovered.

An unexpected or sudden interest in the status of this investigation. Paying close attention to the media, or avoiding participation in any conversations or activities related to this case.

Minimizing or denying a known acquaintance with Kayleah.

A recent display of nervousness or irritability.

A recent increase or decrease in expressing religious beliefs.

Changes in routine sleep patterns.

Changes in their ‘usual’ consumption of alcohol, drugs or cigarettes.

Shaving off facial or head hair, or growing a mustache or beard.

No longer driving, or changing the appearance of his personal or work vehicle for no obvious reason. Leaving it parked in a shed or garage. Covering it, painting it, selling it or reporting it stolen. Giving it away.

Davis said that if an individual exhibits some of these changes, it doesn’t necessarily mean that they’re involved in some kind of crime, but he wants the public to be aware of the possibility.

I have to admit that I have been skeptical of the girls' disappearance having anything to do with Lyric's dad's criminal charges (like as a warning or collateral that he wouldnt give up info on certain people) as this read to me as a stranger abduction from day one.

However, if the girls were kept alive until very recently (like one of the father's court dates), I might be willing to consider that possibility.

(please note I am in no way blaming the father)

I don't find that odd at all. Although I hate to say it, they have been exposed to wildlife which could well account for any distance between remains.

And we don't really know for sure that the white items represent where remains were found. They probably do, but they could be covering other evidence.

I agree.
The sheets were probably covering the area in which the girls were found, either to preserve evidence or to mark the locations for visual aid and aerial and land photos. Shows up a lot better than little colored flags all over the place.

Iowa LE is EXTREMELY tight lipped-I don't expect too much info to come out or to be leaked at all.

Abben never seems to have ever talked to anyone, or know much about anything...he knows and has talked to everyone, he just plays it otherwise.

I don't know about Abben's demeanor....and I'm sure he does a fine job in the general context of what normally goes on in his jurisdiction...

But also reasonably certain he has never been trained or coached in 'media relations'...or 'public speaking' in laymans terms...he has a tough job at the moment, tougher than 'normal'..

But despite the 'pressers', hoping like heck they've locked into something to track and convict upon...

Does he usually have inside info that turns out to be correct? I don't watch JVM or NG much and am not familiar with him, other than what I found on the internet.

Is it against TOS to link the Twitter page? If not could you?

Not so I've noticed...but who knows.

JVM reminds viewers of LE asking for info about mystery kayaker or boater on lake who was never found.

I know this isn't important in the long run, but it was a paddle boat, not a kayak. I think it was discussed for a couple threads! :shush:

I have tried to come up with my own way to honor these two girls. I've decided that when I do some Christmas shopping this weekend, I will purchase two gifts that I think Lizzie and Lyric would have liked. There is a church nearby that is still holding a toy drive, and I will donate the two gifts in memory of Lyric and Lizzie.

I know it isn't much, but I just desperately need to do something to acknowledge the passing of these two girls.

Very fine, Marilynilpa, very fine indeed. It saddens me to say that we certainly now are close to knowing the names of parents who will not be buying presents for two little girls this Christmas.

I do not find it odd that they are not releasing information about if the girls were clothed or not. In the case of Evelyn Miller, they did not release this information to the public either. Just recently they used the clothing information to make an arrest in the case. While the accused was serving time for child 🤬🤬🤬🤬, he made comments to fellow inmates about the state in Evelyn's body was found, including information as to whether she was clothed or not when she was found. The information was something that only LE and Evelyn's killer would know.

Has it ever been established what the girls were actually wearing when they disappeared? I thought this was a sleuthed topic way back when because Grandma and/or others who had last seen the girls couldn't recall what they were wearing. Maybe I am wrong, or maybe they figured it out!

Okay..gotta say this....who doesn't get into some fair 'hystrionics" while on the Nancy Grace show ?? or. alternatively, grits their teeth trying not to ?

Just glad it's getting coverage, and hopefully more leads...

The location that the girls were placed is odd. Why not put them in the middle of the woods or throw them down a ravine? Why near a river bank?

This makes me wonder if the bodies were positioned where they could be seen from the river by a kayaker, boater or canoe paddler. Even if the perp couldn't visually see them, he could relish the thought of knowing where the girls were as he floated down the river.

Is there a boat ramp nearby where boats can be put into the river?

He wouldn't need to drive a vehicle up to near the site where he might be spotted by someone.

Question for the people who know the area. I'm looking at this photo: http://thegazette.com/wp-content/ga...-bridges-recreation-area/aerialsearch680f.jpg

And this one: http://thegazette.com/wp-content/ga...-bridges-recreation-area/aerialsearch680h.jpg

I notice that the river seems to be very low right now, as I would expect at the end of the year. How high would it normally be in July? How high was it this year? Did you have any high water after they disappeared?

I'm wondering whether they might have been in the water for part of the time, and washed up there. Bodies in water, especially cold water, don't decay as fast.
