I belonged to one of the facebook pgs set up in the beginning. I had personal conversations with the Girlfriends sister at that time.
Misty also had a boyfriend...

People say Drew was at work. He works out of his home.

As I understand it, information from FB needs to be backed up with a msm link in order to be used on WS. I could be wrong, though.

I suppose you could say Drew Collins works out of his own home but since his business is tree trimming, I imagine he gets out a lot. There's only so many trees he can trim at home! <just kidding>

Here's a link from yesterday about the man found under the bridge:

http://globegazette.com/news/iowa/h...cle_6d59dcd2-4254-11e2-9294-0019bb2963f4.html

I haven't seen any update providing a name or other info - I think that will come after the autopsy is completed.

Regarding Misty, I am not sure where she is living now. The last I heard she was in "supervised housing". I am a little surprised that there has not been any comment from her regarding Lyric and Lizzie being found. Maybe she is waiting for official confirmation before making any statement.

ETA: And here's a link to a story about the man found dead in a driveway in Cedar Rapids:

http://wcfcourier.com/news/local/ma...cle_53749ba0-0245-11e0-a919-001cc4c03286.html

WOW! First time I'm hearing about the guy found under a bridge. SUPER CREEPY as wasn't it the Craigslist poster (?) who had initially said something about checking bridges for the girls??

My sound isn't working again, so I can't answer anything about the video, but if I remember correctly:

Misty and Drew were both at work
Heather had an appointment somewhere; I can't remember if they ever said where.
Dan was taking a nap at home. Their son was there, and Dan has no license or car.

This is correct, but I would add that Dan had access to both his girlfriend's truck and an ATV, and he drove both regularly.

And no, it was never made public where Heather was.

Did I understand correctly that there is a group of perps with a cast fetish, seriously?!

Maybe the fetish part is simply the fact that it is easier to rape a person with a cast because its harder for them to fight back. :moo:

Not sure if this was posted yet...

EVANSDALE, Iowa --- The discovery of two bodies believed to be those of missing cousins Lyric Cook-Morrissey and Elizabeth Collins on Wednesday has renewed interest in Iowa's missing persons notification system.

As Gov. Terry Branstad expressed sympathy for families of the girls, he said the state will take a look at what can be done differently when children disappear.

"We'll review our laws and see if there's more that we can do to be as effective as possible," Branstad said, alluding to changes in laws adopted followed the abduction of 12-year-old West Des Moines newspaper carrier Johnny Gosch in 1982.

JaimeInLA, could you provide a link to substantiate this info please. From what I understand it is info from FB page conversations. If that is the only source we must be careful to cite it as rumor and not to give it to much weight in our posts. WS discourages gossip and rumors very heavily.

Please and thank you.

IIRC Heather was at a medical appointment....that is why Grandma was looking after both girls at Heather's house.

On the state courts website, do you really need to pay to get the details for each case? That probably why I'm getting nothing.

As I mentioned before, I use this site all of the time and there is no fee for general information - which includes most anything you could want. Only certain areas like payment records and such carry a monthly subscription fee and I've never found those necessary to what I'm looking for.

Thank you.

So the cousin Lyric was awol with in Waterloo was not Aunt TB's 14 year old daughter.

Got it.

I wonder so much about that afternoon in Waterloo. I suspect there is a relation to the later abduction.

The one they arrested was 20 yrs old. I do believe the 14 yr old was with Lyric when she went missing in Waterloo shortly before the Meyer Park incident. IF not correct, someone correct me. Yes, it was K, the 14 yr old. Noted in the video linked above^^^^^^.
It was the 11 year old H who was with her.

All four parents have good alibis that have checked out:

Drew Collins (father of Elizabeth) was at work.

Heather Collins (mother of Elizabeth) had some doctor's appointments due to her pacemaker failing.

Misty Cook (Lyric's mother) was at work at her new job at Casey's (a gas station/convenience store chain).

Dan Morrissey (Lyric's father) was at home with his 16 year old son; he does not have a driver's license and he did not have access to a car.

What Dan Morrissey was talking about was an incident about a week before Lyric disappeared where she was with another cousin, KB (not Elizabeth, in other words). Lyric and KB, who is about 14 IIRC, were late coming home. Misty went looking for her with Wylma (Misty's mother and Lyric's grandmother), didn't find them and called Dan, who advised her to call the police. As Misty was on the telephone with the police, the two girls came in. It was apparently early enough in the call that no police report was filed. The two girls had been playing and lost track of time.

I think DM and MC came off as spacey and unfocussed in the video because this was probably about Day 4 or 5 (judging from events mentioned, such as draining the lake) and they were under a lot of stress, had very little or no sleep and had done so many media interviews that I think they were losing track of who knew what.
Thanks, that's what I remembered too, but I don't always trust my memory. ETA: Except the part about the 14 year old being with Lyric.

I too had never heard of Dan having a partner.

From the body language, I suspect he and Misty were back together at the time...at least secretly.

Not snarking, just respectfully pointing out -

1. If your pacemaker fails, you die.

2. Dan's alibi is his son which is not exactly cast iron IMO.

Thank you for explaining, Unique444. This will need to be categorized as rumor then.

This site is a stickler for specificity if you are quoting a source from a main stream article, a fact as released by law enforcement or rumor. Thanks for clarifying.

Seems to be rumor for fact and vice versa, but I haven't followed the case closed since Sept or Oct, so new info could have come out.

SBM

Respectfully, do you have a cite for the above? I wasn't aware that DM has a GF; it seemed pretty obvious at the beginning of the case that he wanted to be with Misty. I've followed the case pretty closely and have never seen a mention of Dan having a GF.

Dan definitely had a girlfriend at the time the girls went missing. She is a young, attractive, African-American woman. If you look at his Facebook page, she is one of his friends and you'll be able to easily spot her from my description. She has a pick-up truck and let him use it whenever she was at work.

How do you get detailed info from the site? I get the case# and can tell if it's a criminal or civil charge, but not the details. AGGCR doesn't tell me what the actual crime was. TIA

I wish there were some locals posting salacious and against TOS gossp.

I'd take anything right about now...

This case is proving to be an excellent exercise in patience.

It is from Facebook, but it is not a rumor. A rumor is second-hand info. Dan's girlfriend herself was on the FB page, telling us all of this, first-hand.

Regarding services for Elizabeth and Lyric, there will bear celebration of life for Elizabeth ONLY - from abating understand - this thursday, 12/13. BUT, this was already in the works before the bodies were found as it is the 5 month anniversary of when they've went missing. KWWL has been saying that ts for both girls but it isn't. Lyric's puplic service will be after Christmas. Have not heard about the bodies being released. As far as no official ID, the right people know, so I dont think that's an issue. I believe a shoe at least was found with the bodies. Lyric had purple hightops, so I'm guessing tjose were found with the bodies.

This is sad, Elizabeth and Lyric were cousins, friends, kidnapped and died together. It would be so nice if everything could be for both of them.
There must be allot of blame or tension between the sisters now. :(

When you enter the person's name and click on search, it takes you to a page of charges, if there are any. You click on the case number and it comes up. Across the top to the very right, one heading says "Criminal Charges/Disposition - if it is not a criminal charge ie a traffic ticket, go back a few headings and it will say "Filings" - this will show a description of the charges or if it was a civil case, etc. Going to Filings in a criminal case will also give you the history in reverse order of when the crime was committed, any motions filed, things of that nature.

Hope that helps. If not, let me know and I'll try to explain further.
