Did you even stop the car, or just slow down long enough to push him out?![]()

No you're right, they haven't. I think this was part of Rick Abbens press conference or it was his quote to the paper. I cant paste a link from my kindle at least at the moment.
Also in the Courier, there was an article in yesterdays paper regarding social media. There is a strong facebook group that is behind pretty much everything you see publicly about awareness of the girls. Fundraisers, etc. Anyway I know that they would not allow a public service for Lyric to NOT happen. So just rest assured that it will happen, and she will honored in her own right.
You caught me deleting because I just figured that out.
I really ikex the map with the readlyn, 7 bridges scene, myers lake, and public record addresses of CMF. It made a very obvious circle I would consider his of areas of awareness.
Creeped me out to realize how very close 7 bridges as to readlyn, something like a 7 or 8 miles if I remember.
Or maybe it was a 7 or 8 minute drive? Shot, now I forget.
I still can't get over the absence of warnings and alerts issued to the community...FROM DAY 1!
I guess in a community where 2 children were abducted in broad daylight, hidden for 5 months and murdered, with no reported suspect, one would expect LE to issue statements regarding neighborhood watches, safety and precautionary measures, potential threat for repeat abductions, etc.
It would appear to me that LE does not fear a repeat abduction!
WHY???????
Possibly...suspect is in custody already, suspect specifically targeted these girls and no one else is at risk, family connection?
Trying not to get too far off topic but IIRC there was a guy on college campuses several years ago that would break into dorm rooms and lick girls' feet... that was his 'thing.' There are some pretty freaky fetishes out there IMO.
Statistically, there is unlikely to be a repeat, at least in the Evansdale area.
I live in Iowa, about 90 miles from Evansdale. After 13 July, there were no children to be seen in my tiny little town without parents, which is highly unusual. This is a place where it's common to see little packs of children playing and riding bikes from spring to late fall. Even at Wal-Mart where it is common to see a parent pushing the cart and a couple of children sort of orbiting the parent at a distance, children were under tight control.
Last summer there were several reports of attempted abductions that turned out to be misunderstandings, no abduction intended.
What good could a warning do that wasn't already being done? And how much higher would the tension level have gone had there been more warnings.
Tangential thought: driving in other states, I was always amused at the "bridges may ice over before the road" and "curves may be slippery" signs on the roads. That seems like nannying drivers, who shouldn't get behind a wheel if they don't know that stuff. Plus, reading (or hearing) a warning over and over tends to desensitise people to the subject of the warning.
It says the fresh stumps were seen by hunters last week. Hmmmmmm.
Is there any reason other hunters would have cut them off?
I'm beginning to think the perp may have camped at least overnight with the girls at that 'beach' area. I do think this park may have been where they were killed. The stumps could mean firewood, yes.
Or the trees may have held evidence that the girls were tied or chained to themI tie my dogs to trees exactly that size when I'm out in the gardens, so they can be close to me on long leads. They don't rip out because the trees usually have a much thicker top canopy part, so the kind of small diameter of the tree doesn't mean they aren't good to hold a 100 lb dog. They do show lead marks when I'm finished with them being there, btw.
Guys, I just have to post this link even though it has nothing at all to do with Iowa. When I saw the title, and the photo above the article, I couldn't stop laughing.

Wait, I think my reading comprehension was off:

That's the actual quote. Originally, I took it to mean that the stumps were there last week before the cops arrived, but I think I just read it poorly.
I'm still wondering why the bodies were so darned close to that beach instead of being closer to where you'd have to enter the area. Surely they'd be hidden well before getting to the spots chosen?
I do think something is up with that, and it may be because the perp wanted to spend time in a nicer spot (the beach). I know that sounds hideous, but perps have all kinds of hideous fantasies for how to make the awful crime pleasurable for themselves![]()
I deleted mine too, since it was confusing.
It's 7 miles, about 15 minutes.

One of the pieces of police tape in those photos is on a piece of driftwood that's clear down beside the water. I wonder if they think he/they walked in using the sandy banks that are normally underwater?
Seven miles is nothing...15 minutes to a drop off point. I'm sorry, but these guys make me absolutely sick to my stomach. God save our children from these sick horrific acts made against them.lease:
Law enforcement usually tries to put the crime scene tape around the perimeter of the potential crime scene, so that anything inside of the tape gets extra scrutiny and (hopefully) there is nothing of interest outside the crime scene tape.
O good! he's exercising, that should help his back :rocker:LOL, I slowed down a little. I think he just tucked and rolled into the ER!!
